When these batteries run hot, it can take a long time waiting to recharge them. And when the sun is beating down and the grass is very tall, they will drain very quickly. I had 2 batteries that I got with my Ryobi lawn mower (+ a smaller 2v battery for the trimmer), but would always be forced to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour before I could continue mowing the lawn due to that. Which is why I bought this battery; one extra battery is enough to get some more work done while the first two batteries cooled down, then charged. That helped reduce my downtime by a lot. Definitely worth the purchase.
