Brickyard Building Blocks 177 Pieces Large Building Block Toys for Children Ages 1.5-5, Bulk Block Set, Compatible with Duplo (177 pcs)

Like many on here I was reluctant to buy an off brand, But for the price, I figured give it a try. Well, wow! What more can you say? The packaging was nice, the blocks stick together perfect, the assortment was great (yes, there are an abundance of small pieces, but when given lemons, make a cool brick house!) My daughter and I had a blast, and it is so much more fun than the kits which are built once and set aside... this is what lego was originally about, creative thinking! And these fit the bill in quality, quantity, assortment and price. Love them! We did not count them, but we did use almost all and had no defects or ill fitting blocks.

We bought these as a cheaper alternative to legos. And we didn’t want one item LEGO objects. To get a variety LEGO bucket is ridiculously expensive. We bought this for affordability and number of bricks. They are great. Although with 10 colors (the eleventh is one of two roof colors) there may be too many colors. For example, there are 60 2x3 bricks. A great number. But because there are ten colors, there are only 6 of each color. Still they work great, they are economical and the company seems to care. Upon order I got an email asking if everything went well. Both on this order and the stem kit we ordered from brickyard. So far I’m happy with the company. My mother in law got the complementary (please don’t read this as complimentary) wheels set. We had a minor issue and are waiting to hear back.The only negative about this set is there aren’t the wheels, doors, or windows. Or plants. You have to buy those packages separately. But for what it is, 1100 bricks at an affordable price, you can’t go wrong. I really like this company (we started buying with the stem kit)...affordable and good quality. If you’re looking for more”LEGO” construction bricks to add to your collection, you’ll want to give this a try

Product is reviewed as being a good match for Lego brand - and I can vouch that it is very good. My grandson received this set for his 5th birthday along with some other Lego sets. He has been playing with Lego for a while and enjoys the experience. He needed more wheels, etc. I saw this set listed and thought I would try as the price is much less than Lego. We were all very happy with our choice. Every part works perfectly with the Lego sets, there is hardly any difference at all - other than the Lego trademark on each piece.I understand this is a family business that make all their own product here in the US. I am very pleased with my purchase and will be buying again.Thank you

Finding suitable brick construction sources is difficult. With Lego as the largest supply source, and their prices are rather high, and use specialized parts that take quite a bit of imagination to see any way other than what they're intended for(example: a treasure chest was in one Lego set I purchased. The instructions suggested alternative uses such as the head of a frog. The kid playing with that is going to be using a lot of imagination to make that work in their minds). That also means that other brands would need to be compatible in order to be competitive. Other Bulk Block sets fill the set with small parts to pad out the numbers, and have low quality control and pieces that either didn't get enough plastic in the mold to form the part, or at some point half melted. None of that from Brickyard!The pack I purchased from Brickyard has few small pieces(some are included but they're not used for "padding" of the numbers), no flawed pieces that I could find, and a good variety of colors. This is exactly the basic building brick set you want. So far this has been the best bulk building brick set I've purchased from Amazon. Totally compatible, good quality plastic(so far all good tight fits and no stress marks, I can't say about "years of play" from now, but a couple of days entertaining children of relatives is usually quite stressful enough on the toys), excellent quality control, and the right parts to expand your children's building sets to make a full structure instead of the facade usually sold.A minor quibble however: The package states 11 different colors. Technically accurate, but the dark grey color only applies to half of the "roof bricks"(as shown in the images), making it 10 different colors, plus the roof sections(which are either dark grey or red). And if that's the only complaint that can be made, these are worth the money.

Really amazing option for buying the more fundamental lego pieces in such a large quantity! They stick together incredibly strong (Stronger than name brand!) Which is good, but the only bad part about that is they are a little hard to get together and apart. Once you start using them and they get out of their factory condition it's perfect though! I was surprised at just how many parts there were, as I was having a hard time imagining 1,100 to come in such a compact box. I was able to make a border all the way around 4 10" baseplates, and then a 20x20 stud castle in the middle. The one downside to ordering a variety box is just that: Variety. You get a lot of different sizes and colors, of which most are the bigger pieces (Another +). Amazing product, five stars, amazing on and off of a budget. My only recommendation to the company would be to make a product or service that allows you to do a sort of pick a brick, choosing how many of what pieces in what color, just with these higher quality and less expensive brickyard bricks!
