Reviewed by a Dude for Dudes: Magnet Fishing, multiple purpose, strong as Arnold
I bought this magnet for Magnet Fishing and occasionally go out to the local docs and beaches. First and foremost, when you get this magnet, make sure you glue the eyelet to the base, you don't want the chance of loosing it. Second, make sure you have strong and long enough line to make this work for you. I've also used this for find lost nuts bolts in the yard, I had a tool that went down a pipe that I used this to pull it up 10 feet worth of piping with no issues. Will pull anything towards it within 6-8 inches.

Great hobby
Really nice magnet. Of course I dont catch a treasure each time I toss it in the lake but so far I have brought in three pairs of pliers, two pair forceps, a nearly new Buck pocket knife, four nylon camp chairs that apparenty get blown off the dock, a couple of fish stringers, and of course lots of fishhooks and some lures. Maybe the best part of magnet fishing though is that people always stop by and want to talk about magnet fishing so I get to meet lots of new people each time I go out. And no matter where I go I usually see some labs out swimming who always seem to need to get petted---have met a lot of wet dogs that way. So for me magnet fishing is a hoot, and is an excellent excuse to be out on a lake enjoying a beautiful warm and sunshiny day. What I drag out of the water is the fringe benefit.

Strong little magnet
After watching a lot of YouTube videos on magnet fishing and being out to sea all the time. I thought i'd give it a shot, so i bought this magnet. I've used it once and haven't been able to find anything but as far as i can tell it's a great little magnet just for this purpose. It's kind of on the small side but it's very strong for how big it is. Give it try you won't be disappointed.

Perfect magnet and very strong
Very strong, there was times I could barely get it off of what it stuck to. Be very careful not to get your fingers pinched between the magnet and the steel. The only downside I have is that after it scratches it seems like it kind of rusts but it could be surface rust from all the steel shavings that stick to it. Couldn't ask for a better magnet

Awsome magnet
Crazy powerful, picks up a 25 pound weight no problem. Probably picks up more, 25 pound is just the heaviest weight i have. Ive taken it magnet fishing and have pulled all kinds of stuff out of the water with them (i got two, one for a friend to use) Would totally suggest getting one if your interested in magnet fishing.

Wonderful magnet, but did not arrive on time
This magnet is of wonderful quality and strength, and turned out to be exactly what I needed, so I would like to give it a 5 star review. Unfortunately, it arrived 2 days late when it was advertised as available for next day pick up. I would have ordered a different magnet from a different vendor if I had known from the start that the item could not really arrive on time as advertised. Even the best tool is of limited value if it is not available at the time that you need it. Since the magnet is late, I can still use it, but most of my available free time and cooperative weather conditions to use the magnet for its intended purpose, to search for my expensive drone that landed in a swamp using a kayak, has passed for the next few weeks, so now the little free time and cooperative weather conditions that I have available are no longer what they were 2 days ago.

I saw a video of people 'magnet fishing' on YouTube ...
I saw a video of people 'magnet fishing' on YouTube and thought "why haven't I heard of this before now?" So I had to try it. I read all of the reviews on Amazon about 'Fishing magnets' and this one had the highest review. Boy are they right! Be very careful where you let this magnet come in contact with metal. It took a strong rope and all of my energy to get this thing off of my tool chest. I haven't found anything collectable yet but I won't have to buy and teaspoons for some time. Who throws teaspoons off of bridges? I was expecting weapons. Teaspoons????

Strong magnet
I bought this magnet to open a safe I couldn't remember the combination to. While rated at a high wt. I think that's more under ideal circumstances. Perfectly flat surface, slow movement, etc.. I bought it to do one thing.. seemed ok for that job. Nothing bad to really say about it.
