Scholastic Success With Math Tests: Grade 3

This is a good math book for summer practice. Purchased for my 3rd grader to keep his math skills sharp. He likes the variety of activities. It is not boring and not the same format over and over. Not monotonous. He will even do more pages than I ask per day. I like that the pages are perforated and easily torn out.

I have purchased these Scholastic math workbooks for my children to work on over the summer as a review of the grade they just completed. These are nice because they are not super thick therefore less intimidating for them to approach, especially during the summer. It has been a good way to keep math in their heads over the summer without being super difficult or too large of a workbook to complete in a few months. For the Scholastic workbooks, we prefer the Success with Workbooks over the ones that only contain tests as they have more "fun" elements instead of appearing as just "work".

I am a CASA and bought this for an 8 year old boy I am mentoring. Overall, it's a good book. I like the format, different mix/type of problems, and large fonts. However, there are a couple of things that could be improved on: 1) Some assignments should be explained and given examples of how to do them. For example, when you ask students to "Round 7 to the nearest ten," there should be an explanation of what that means and how to do that. 2) Instructions for certain activities are just too long and wordy when they can be shorten and simplified.

I needed some extra work at home for kids since the school don’t send much of the things at home. I have several other kind of books from the same author and my kids love it too.

Love that this book comes with an answer key ! It has really help my daughter bring up her grades . Some of the stuff she hasn’t learned in school yet but we do it in the math test book so when it’s time to work on that topic In school she is ready !

Good for 3 graders! 62 pages

This books takes a very lightweight approach to teaching match. That is good in a way. But, I have a feeling things have gone a bit too much. I would have liked a little more rigor.

GRADE 2の娘のために購入。毎日１ページやらせました。GRADE 3の生徒には簡単すぎます。通っている学校、国によって教科の進み具合が異なりますが、簡単すぎるのをやらせるよりは、難しすぎれば半年後にやらせる事ができるので、1 GRADE上を選ぶことをおすすめ。

Great for adapted work booklets! These pages have a very quick and easy explanation at the top, with a full page of fun practice. My low students will be able to do them independently while I'm teaching the rest of the class. They're attractive, clearly presented, and right on target for outcomes. I love these Scholastic practice books.

U.S. Curriculum. Not all the concepts are relevant to canadian students of this age. Good work hook though.
