Favorite Crimpers by far
Awesome in the hand, comfortable in prolonged use. Sharp cutters when needed, crimp has great action, plenty of torque on front non insulated and on rear insulated crimps.

Works well, but inferior to the Channellock version
I purchased the Channellock 909 right alongside these, intended to directly compare the two and end up with the better option. Between the two: - The Channellock's knife-and-anvil mates perfectly, and cuts very easily compared to the Klein, which had issues cutting paper and would just pinch solid wire without actually cutting. - The Channellock's layout of insulated and non-insulated crimpers is reversed compared to the Klein, which means you'd get slightly less leverage on insulated lugs, however, it makes it a lot easier to slide the larger, insulated lugs into the crimper compared to the Klein. Regardless of the orientation, both crimpers have more than enough leverage to effortlessly crimp both types of lugs, so I'd put the Channellocks as the better option just for the ease of using the larger lug. - The Klein's journeyman handles are definitely nicer; They tend not to get super dirty and clean up very easily compared to the Channellock Code Blue handles, they offer good texture and grip, and aren't excessively bulky like the Channellock ones. Additionally, the Klein's handles seem to have a more comfortable tempering, with slightly more give when squeezing hard compared to the Channellock. I prefer the Kleins from a comfort standpoint, for sure. Some side notes: - The Kleins came in EXTREMELY stiff, and took a lot of work to get useable, while the Channellocks came out of the package fairly smooth. - The Channellocks, despite their nice edge, didn't have the knife perfectly centered on the anvil and will occasionally slip off, sliding the knifes along the edge of the anvil and twisting the head. This is probably a manufacturing defect, but something to watch out for; The Klein's knife is perfectly centered. - The Kleins have a much prettier polish! Overall, these are definitely functional pliers, but I'd go for the Channellock ones over these. They're cheaper, and seem like an objective upgrade in just about every way except for the handle-- assuming you get a good pair, of course.

Perfect for HVAC work
This crimper is perfect. It is nice and wide to provide a large contact area. The handles are long for great leverage. I like to make two crimps on each of my connectors. One on each end of the terminal since the terminal since the tool is not as wide as the entire terminal crimp area. This design is actually good because if the jaws were wider you would be applying less force to the connector (think about it there would be a larger surface are for a given force). I oil this tool regularly and it has no rust on it. The journeyman series is excellent. I use it to crimp 10 gauge terminal for HVAC work and it works great. These are better than the channelock version because they do not bottom out when crimping.
