I hadn't tried to extend it until I came across your question, which helped me too. I even wasn't able to push down button A let alone extend the part until I read your question. So yes, you're right. Mine worked in the same way you mentioned. Thank you so much. I might have sent it back if I hadn't seen your question. Logically, A should extend first, but it doesn't.
