This is not a distilled spirit
Distilled 0% gin replacements normally have no carbohydrate and no sugar, meaning that not only are they good for avoiding alcohol but wasted calories in general - which given these are normally consumed in an effort to be healthy isn't an unreasonable expectation. However this drink has 8g of carbohydrate per 100ml and 4g of sugar per 100ml, more like a liqueur than a spirit. That's enough for a couple of generous measures of an evening to mess your diet up. Very disappointing that this isn't a true distilled spirit... will be sticking to other brands in future.

A very nice non alcoholic alternative ...
This review is for the drink "Lyre's pink London non-alcoholic spirit".CONTENTS700 mlCOLOUR/ DESIGN / QUALITY** this non-alcoholic drink comes in a very distinctive bottle which compares very well with similar alcoholic spirits.** it has a gorgeous transparent pink colour to it and the scent of rose was very noticeable to me when I smelt it.IMPORTANT/WORTH NOTING** after opening this drink needs to be kept in the refrigerator and consumed within 12 weeks.I LIKE** the slight quinine aftertaste which I assume is from the juniper berries. This gives you the impression you're drinking something alcoholic.** I certainly notice a rose flavour as well which is one of my favourites.** this drink is semi sweet and is a good alternative to pink Gin.** I have found this drink delicious when mixed with something like lemonade, sparkling water or soda. Adding ice and a slice of lemon makes it extra special.I DISLIKE** nothing to dislikePRICEThe price of £23.50 (price correct at the time of this review) is a fairly decent price.Thank you for reading and I hope you found my review helpful.

Worst I've ever tasted
Complete rip off I've tasted better water than this, shame it was a present. How can they call it London Spirit no spirits used in making it don't waste your money, not very flavoured water, disgusting using gin bottle's too. They even say impossibly crafted waste of money

E129: safe or unsafe?
There is a total absence of alcohol in this gin, so it is a non-alcoholic drink but with a very similar taste to a real gin.I would say that the goal of emulating a real pink gin has been achieved. If someone had served me this gin without telling me that it is non-alcoholic I would certainly not have noticed.Good to pair with other drinks like soda, disgusting on its own being very bitter. There is, however, a detail to underline, I noticed the color E129 among the ingredients. It is a synthetic substance known of being suspected, the effects of which on the body are not yet well known. However, its use has been banned in some states, suspecting that it can cause allergies, metabolic problems and even carcinogenic effects. All this is still, however, unclear. Some study confirms it, others denies it. If in doubt, I would avoid it.It is confirmed, though, it can cause hyperactivity in children but I am pretty sure no one would give a gin, although, non alcoholic, to a child.
