The Little Prince: The Coloring Portfolio Review: 64 large format design pages derivated from “The Little Prince” original artwork – printed one side of the page - This is a very large format book with 64 designs. The designs are derived from the original artwork from “The Little Prince” but are manipulated to provide for a wider range of illustrations. Some of the designs are extremely simple to color and allow for lots of shading opportunities. It is a wonderful coloring book for those who love “The Little Prince”. The book is 10.5 x 14.5 x .5 inches. The cover is soft with gold metallic details. The back of the book has a heavy cardboard backing which provides a great flat surface for coloring no matter where you are. The book opens from right to left but the pages flip up due to the binding at the top of the page. This is what I found while coloring in this book and testing it with my coloring medium: 64 large format designs derived from “The Little Prince” Designs are printed on one side of the page Paper is white, medium heavyweight, slight rough and non-perforated Glue bound at the top of the page with a notepad style of binding. Pages are easily remove in whole just as a note can be removed from a notepad. Alcohol-based markers bleed through the paper easily. If you use this medium I suggest either removing pages before coloring or using a blotter page under your working page to keep ink from seeping through to the next page. Water-based markers, India ink pens and gel pens did not bleed through the page and did not leave shadows on the back of the page. My coloring pencils did the best of the various medium. They went on well and blended well. I tested both oil and wax based pencils and could layer and blend easily using a blender stick. Review: Fantastic Quality! - So beautiful! Love how large the pages are and how thick. Very creative in the way they placed the illustrations from the book on the pages. I’d give it 6 stars if I could!

Its actually a little too big. My partner has the other type on sale on Amazon, and its much better. This is like a big flip pad in a training session, with sketches on each page. Its a nice thing, but a little too big, well over what I imagined.
