lg c1 eARC AV receiver arc only
Works great. Build quality fantastic all metal and no plastic. AV Yamaha 681 ARC setting: turn of ARC in the receiver settings which is found under HDMI control (very important). Xbox series X turn of HDMI -CEC (very important) . LG C1 enable ARC then advanced enable passthrough and then eARC (very important).Once done just set lip sink settings in your tv .To match audio with video if need.Worth it as now don't have to get a new receiver so can passthrough audio as use tv to connect Xbox at 120 fames etc. No E-waste.

This product is amazing
Here is my setup:LG Nanocell 901 55"Denon AVR-2500XXbox Series X4K Fire TV stickEt al.The Series X goes into the TV because the Denon A/V receiver isn't capable of displaying 4K@120Hz but I am running surround height speakers for Dolby Atmos and I really didn't want to buy an entirely new A/V receiver just so that I can have eARC (although buying a new receiver would have meant that I would have been able to connect the Series X directly to the A/V receiver and all of my problems would have solved, but everyone is increasing their prices thanks to the pandemic)This little box of goodness solves the problem of the Denon not having eARC and not wanting to put down £££'s for a new receiver. For my particular setup, I had to go from the TV's eARC output to the HDMI port labelled "Out1 eARC/ARC (TV)" and then a HDMI from the "Out2 Audio (AVR)" to a HDMI input (not the monitor 1/2 output on the A/V receiver). I have mine going into AUX2.In the TV settings, it's just a case of turning on eARC (because I already had it set to ARC as the TV's audio output). Now I am able to enjoy Dolby Atmos from the apps on the TV and films that have Dolby Atmos.

It Works!
I have an old Sony STR-DA2400ES AV Receiver which cannot process Dolby Atmos, but can decode Dolby TrueHD and 5.1. I have a LG OLED C1 TV. This Pure Tools box does exactly as described. It can transform the Dolby Atmos signal to TrueHD pushing out sound from all 7 speakers giving my living room a dynamic atmospheric sound field. I am so chuffed with this transformation especially when watching 'No Time To Die'; it has saved me £££s from having to buy a new Atmos Amp. Here's some tips; the secret to getting the box working as designed is setting up your TV's eARC HDMI connection correctly. First of all connect your Sky box, Bluray Player etc directly into your TV and not your old amp. Connect a 4K HDMI cable between the Pure Tools box and your TV's eARC socket (BTW this box will not work with the old ARC system as it cannot process Atmos signals) Now connect the 2nd 4K HDMI cable from the box to your amp. Do not connect this 2nd HDMI cable into your amp's HDMI ARC socket as this is an outgoing socket and not incoming. Instead pick an incoming socket like 'TV'. On your TV under 'Sound Out' setting, select 'HDMI (ARC) Devices'. Then under 'Advanced Settings' switch the eARC Support button to 'On'. Set the 'Digital Sound Output' to 'Pass Through'. Now play an Atmos film on your Bluray player. On your amp switch it to 'TV' and play around with your incoming Audio Format selector until you find one which will decode the Atmos or 5.1 signals - the 'Blue' light will light up on your amp to confirm you have got the right selection. Enjoy the transforming in your surround sound. When watching Sky programs the amp will decode the correct sound signals even though the 'Blue' light might not light up in most instances. However some programs do push out Dolby Atmos/DTS EX signals like David Attenborough's Green Planet on BBC1. Your amp's 'Blue' light will instantly light up when you watch this program. Lastly you can test your amp's connection by going to YouTube and search 'Dolby'. There you will find a host of Dolby sound samples/tests. Enjoy!

SetupPlug hdmi (2.2) into audio (AVR) on pure tools plug other end into input on receiver (e.g Blu-ray ) plug earc into tv earc slot.lG c1 set to pass through bitstream. Will double check this when I get home.Getting 120hz vrr / gsync /hdrWith Dolby digital home theatre 7.1 on pc working. With Xbox one workingNvidia shield. Still having some issues here. Not supporting Dolby vision but don’t think that his anything to do with pure tools. All in all very happy not having to replace an expensive complement (marantz sr6011) just for the sake of earc!Ps oh c1 is amazing.Only problem is I did end up updating my gaming pc which is much more expensive these days! Worth it to play cyberpunk at 4k with raytracing sync and hdr!

Saved me £1,000÷ buying a new sound system
I've got a perfectly capable 5.1.4 soundbar set up.Frustratingly it doesn't have e-Arc so I have to pick between getting Dolby Vision or Atmos from my Nvidia Shield. This device solved that. Plugged the e-arc hdmi port into my LG C9 arc (HDMI 2), plugged the AvR hdmi port into my Soundbar (HDMI 1) and boom, Atmos + DV.Super happy with the device. Literally was close to ordering a new £1,000 plus soundbar set up to get the same solution.

XBOX Series X Dolby Atmos Sound Delay Solved!
Solves dolby atmos sound delay issue thats plagued the xbox, now i can enjoy playing games in full 4k 120fps dolby vision and dolby atmos running without delay! 100% recommend buying this product. *Note* you need to have a non eArc/Arc hdmi port for this to work on your sound device so if you have Sonos arc soundbar for instance it will not work unfortunately.
