What size would be big enough for a regular dachshund?

I have large male cardigan corgis, who are the same proportion as a full sized standard dachsund (because cardigans were bred from dachsunds), yet the corgis are much bigger in body and head. They fit quite happily in the medium 30" long crate. There are charts on the internet with recommendations plus ways to measure your pup. Basically, you want them to be able to lay down flat and comfortably with room to spare above their head (this does not count the "sploot" position as corgi owners call it, where their back legs protrude straight out behind them in back, thus extending their overall length about 10". Has to be a normal laying position with head up). That's a medium sized crate for most. It's nice to have extra headroom for when they are standing, but I'm pretty sure a dachsund can stand up. You could go larger with the 36" and accommodate the sploot and as others have said, give him room to turn around, but the corgis do fine with the 30-31" length.

Would the 36 inch crate be large enough for a boxer?

It's ideal for my 65 lb. rangey mutt, taller and longer than most boxers. He has enough height and enough room to lie down and to turn around. Something to consider is the size and weight for storage. This folded 36" crate is pretty heavy and unwieldy at about 25 lbs. with a soft mat included. Also, any dog has to be trained to be comfortable in a crate (see http://www.humanesociety.org/animals/dogs/tips/crate_training.html ).

Why is this cage so much cheaper then the other larger cages?!

I am not exactly sure but I would think its cheaper because it is not the secure lock model. My puppy was able to easily jiggle the door and escape. I ended up buying a more expensive model that has a much more secure locking mechanism.

Will the 30x19x21 fit a 4 month old Sheltie and Cavachon together?.

I had a 3 year old lab in it. I know the Sheltie will be fine, but I don't know what a Cavachon is. If their total weight is not over 60 pounds and height less than 36 inches, it might work.

Great sturdy and good locking Kennel

Best investment for my kitties. Spacious Kennel and I can keep them inside secure in case I need to go out. They love to be inside. I added a grass mat and some space for their food and drinking bowl. I left space in the floor grid for them to pee and poop into the tray below. Works excellent. The build is sturdy. Very good purchase and I can strongly recommend it to other pet owners. It is definitely a value for money and will last you for ever.

The cage is good, sturdy and easy to use but I found the bottom tray broken on one side towards the corner. I needed it immediately so I did not ask for a replacement. I put a selotape on it and using it that way. Otherwise a good experience. I have ordered the 36inch for my two rabbits and it is spacious enough for two. For now I have used one of the outer cardboard packaging inside, for them to stand easily as the cage doesn't have criss-cross netting at the bottom. Update: I realised the gaping between the grills are too large and small rabbits can easily pass through it. It is meant for dogs, but I did not think of this problem before. I had to find some alternate solution to prevent them from coming out.

Sturdy crate

Sturdy product, great sizing and reliable. My dog loves it as a den. Those plastic safes are flimsy, do such a sturdy crate, and one of them came broken, but I can live with it.

Good space but material not sturdy. Not recommended for large heavy weight dogs.

Purchased a 42 inch crate for my 4 months Husky puppy. Good space but material not sturdy. It tends to bend and shake when my puppy plays or even turns while sleeping. Wire at the base floor of the crate are placed a bit at distance which causes discomfort to the dog while walking . Many of it broke while walking. I had to put another metal mesh frame to make it more comfortable for my puppy. I hope it lasts... atleast for few months. Presently solving the purpose with a little modifications. Definitely not recommended for large heavy weight dogs.
