Simple, easy to use, works well
The Jasper jig is a bit confusing looking at first (quite a few holes), but just take a few minutes to read the instructions on the back, locate the mounting holes for your router, and then match the holes to your router base.I quickly and easily mounted it on my DeWalt plunge base and used the supplied 1/4" pin to center the jig.I used the jig to cut four 8" circles in 3/4" maple ply. The jig was easy to use and produced clean perfect circles.I started with a Freud 75-102 1/4" bit, thinking the 1/4" bit would be easiest and best to use with the jig (since that is what it is designed for). While it worked, the noise and vibration coming from the bit made me go slow, since I've read several reviews about broken 1/4" bits. After cutting two circles, I replaced the bit with a Freud 75-104 with a 1/2" shank. Because it is a 5/16" bit, I moved the jig pin down two holes to decrease the diameter by 1/8" to compensate for the bit. The 1/2" shank was quieter, smoother, cooler, and cut much faster and easier. I would definitely recommend going with a 1/2" shank bit and adjusting the template rather than using a 1/4" shank bit. It's very easy to compensate for the larger bit diameter. The jig worked great and produced perfect results. MUCH better than the other techniques I was considering.EDIT: One detail that I forgot to mention--when finishing the circle, I would recommend going slow and being extra careful. When the circle is done and completely cut, the center pin can move (obviously), and thus the jig is no longer controlling the router. I tried to be fairly careful, but on two of my circles, the router bit brushed the outer edge of the circle, making a small indent. Not a big deal for my project, and once the spot is sanded it is less visible, but if you are looking to make a 100% absolutely perfect circle, end the cut slowly and carefully, and turn off the router immediately.

Forget the rest, but this one. Great Product
This is the best router Circle Jig on Amazon. Stay away from the cheap red ones and the milscraft. I have tried most of them and it works as described. There is a small learning curve since it only has directions for either ID or OD holes, I dont recall which but I need to make Circle disks. Once you figure it out which is not to hard it works great.

Crafted from thick, durable plexiglass, this guide is built to last and withstand repeated use. I've relied on it countless times, and every single circle has turned out flawless. Subwoofer hole cutout perfection.
Worked well to cut a half dozen 18” subwoofer hole cutouts. 4 stars because the labeling is on the side of the wood that faces down and so will wear off with use; also it’s plexiglass which will break with use. I wish it was a more durable material. But accuracy was great, and it did the job I bought it for. I would buy again if needed.

Easy to use
This is my second Jasper router jig. Already had the big one. They both work perfectly. I tried another brand and it was awkward. In my opinion Jasper makes the best router circle jugs

Just plain frustrating
Great Template/Guide. Not exactly easy to get the pin into the right hole if the hole is under the router base. I semi solved this by getting a really long pin and after I get it in I press the setup into place. This guide allows me, with the proper setup, to cut precision concentric holes for my speaker projects..

Cuts precision circles with less set up time spent
This circle jig is great. I love the fact that there is no guesswork, and it's calibrated to a 1/4" bit so you don't have to spend as much time calculating, and can just cut some circles. I guess if there is only one thing about it that can be improved is I wish it had numbers on both sides so you can line the pin up without having to look underneath it, as that can be tricky sometimes. Overall a good product for the money. I also have an infinitely adjustable circle jig that will cut from as small as 1.5" to 30" but it takes longer to set up. Sometimes you just need a certain size circle and don't want to have to spend more time setting up the jig, and with this one, you can just pick a circle size, pin it, and cut right away. I'm using this with a Dewalt DW611PK compact router, and I really like that setup.
