This may not be the least expensive coat rack available, but it is good value for money. The metal base is broad and well weighted so it isn't likely to tip over. The wooden column comes in three pieces which simply screw together (without tools), so assembly takes maybe 2 minutes. Simple, handsome, functional = good design.

Exactly what I needed for my airbnb to add additional hanging clothing storage in a bedroo.m! Liked it so much bought a second one for upstairs.

Sturdy, clean looking, fits in a small space. Holds up to 225lbs I think the tag said. Great to sit and put shoes on or I can just quickly take my cost off and plop a bag down when I walk in the door. It took like 10 minutes to set up, maybe, you just use the provided hex key. Also nice the legs have floor savers/ a little bit of padding at the bottom. Loving it so far and I think my cat approves as well.

Solid, good quality piece of furniture, very stable on its legs.
