Abused this reel and I cant say enough good things. It has held up perfect and it out performs most penns I have. Holds a lot of line and casts smooth. Drag is easy to work, nice adjustments, decent amount of drag to fight big fish. Reel size is perfect for an 8k. Overall im pretty happy with this reel.

Solid build and line capacity with a loud clicker. Only thing I would change is to have the handle screw directly into the gear, vs the pass thru bolt option.

Great reel, my husband uses it in the thick Northumberland kelp with no problem, great power winch handle, and casts miles

Reel is good, spool is longer and helps with casting but I get similar distance on my 14000 size reel. The body does have some flex in it though. Recommend braid as I bought a 2nd spool and used mono but bread was way better. Use backing, dont waste your main line filling the spool. For R1600ish, its worth it tbh.
