I looked for a good soldering rosin and looks like this one is perfectly fits my needs.

First off, if you're not familiar, you have to scratch the surface with a fork or something similar. By roughing it up it increases the surface area and allows the resin to adhere to the bow hair. Super easy to use Quality seems quite good considering the price. It certainly helps the sound considering that it makes better contact with the strings. It's difficult to say though if it improves the tonal qualities of that sound. I got this four pack in which each comes in a plastic case with a lid. I like that the lid offers a little protection. I've seen larger rosins but this size is perfect considering the larger ones take more effort to use evenly i.e. with the bigger ones, you have to rub the bow across the entire surface so that it wears down at the same rate. A nice alternate use for this is soldering though I haven't tested that yet. It does look exactly like my natural rosin flux block, not including the case.

This worked just fine with my violin. They were cheaper than our local music store, and I didn't need to leave my house.
