We have turn of the century outdoor light poles, very antique. Modern bulbs look hideous on a former gas outdoor fixture that was electrified. We purchased the new flame like bulbs, but wanted to hide the bulb itself, so inserted these cylinders over the bulbs, which made them look like gas lit. Very, very pleased with the product.
