Sunbeam Connected Restful Quilted

I’ve used heated mattress pads for decades because they’re super-effective, highly efficient, & convenient. They’ve looked like crap til now, & have all been at least 50% ungainly wiring harnesses & controls by weight. Awkward & dumb. Sunbeam set a new standard here, with a single, compact, extremely well-designed controller. It has 1 wall plug, & 1 cable which plugs into the bottom of the mattress pad. That’s for a queen or king, with split zones. You & your partner each want to control your respective side? Download the surprisingly well-designed & well-executed app & use your phone. Setup is easy, control is simple (even scheduling regular run-times), & it hasn’t crashed or lost its Bluetooth connection since I installed a month ago. In fact, 2 weeks in I bought a 2nd Sunbeam & scrapped an inferior product purchased earlier this year. I was amazed at how easy it was to add to the app as a new device, renaming both so we’d know which bedroom we were turning on. Wish list? Sure: a) it would benefit from more heat transfer wire in the “foot pockets,” & b) I’d be happier if they’d up the amps to deliver about 20% more heat on the “high/preheat” setting. That said, no regrets & a strong “buy” recommendation.

Works amazing!!! Don’t have to heat the whole house up at night if we are just in the bed. So, we turn down the heat but stay comfy warm all night. The WiFi connect capability is also super convenient. We can preheat the bed while we are watching our last show on TV, and can then climb into a nice warm bed afterward. I also like that it’s dual control because I like it set on a low setting, but my husband is always cold and prefers his side set much warmer. It works perfectly for us. Thank you

I purchased this to replace an older heated mattress pad that was losing function. Overall, I like it as I have gotten used to how it functions. It was the best option for me, and the positives outweigh the minor inconveniences. Things I like: +Single wired controller that operates both sides, rather than two controllers. I sleep alone and don't want to run around the bed turning on multiple controllers. +Adjustable auto-off timer that can be set in half-hour increments (only via mobile app, not wired controller). +Two zones, left and right. +Warms up quickly at any setting. +Fits deep-pocket mattress (~15"). +Easy machine wash and dry. +Mobile app that can store pre-programmed, one-touch scenarios (heat level, auto-off timer). I didn't love this at first but it has grown on me. This is the best option for consistency. Things I don't love: -The wired controller cannot sync both sides; to turn on/off or change the heat setting, each side must be set. My previous Sunbeam mattress pad had a setting on the wireless controller where the sides could be operated independently or as one. The mobile app can sync both sides, but that's not helpful when I'm already in bed and the phone is across the room. -Each side has a single heating zone, rather than multiple zones (head/mid/feet). So if you turn up the heat for cold feet, your upper body gets that same temperature. -There are no heating coils at the top 18" or bottom 10" of the pad. Supposedly this is for "safety" but means your shoulders may be cold depending on how you lie in bed. -The auto-off timer can only be changed on the mobile app. (Default is 10 hours)

I've used a Sunbeam electric blanket with the same controller and the same ability to app control or Alexa control for about 4 years now. But it's just not heating up well anymore, so I figured it was time for a replacement. Since that one worked so well with Alexa and voice control, I thought I'd give this mattress pad a try. My biggest complaint about the blanket was that the top 10 inches or so had no wire in it, so the part up by your shoulders and neck had no heating capability. I had hoped the mattress pad would help offset that. Plus, heat rises, so if any heat is generated it's going to go through me before escaping through the blankets and bedding on top of me. First strike - the app I used is apparently not the same as this app. Second strike - even though you'd think it should be the same infrastructure, the email address I had in the Sunbeam app was not recognized with the Sunbeam 2 app. So apparently, it's a completely different ecosystem, so I had to recreate an account again. Third strike - the voice commands are just a joke. For years I could say, "Alexa, set blanket to 10" or pick any other number. Now it seems you turn it on, and then have to say to INCREASE or DECREASE. Sure, the instructions SAY you can specify a specific number, but when I say "Alexa, set blanket to 8." she tells me she doesn't know how to do that setting. Fourth strike - After the initial wireless setup, Alexa or the app see the blanket, until I turn it on then off. Then it's dead. Unable to be seen or controlled at ALL by the app or Alexa. So I unpaired it, repaired, and once again, same thing. First time, Alexa and the App both could power it on. I could set the temp with the app. But once it's turned off, the app no longer can see it again. Unplugging and replugging do not work. Now, when the app and Alexa are unable to do anything, obviously I can still turn it on with the controller. And as soon as I turn it on by the button on the actual physical controller, suddenly the app sees it again. NOW with the app I can control the temp. But if I turn it off again, either with the app or with the controller, suddenly it is totally invisible to the app or Alexa again. I deleted it and repaired it multiple times, always the same issue. So now it's time to find another alternative. I gave Sunbeam another chance since I had been happy with the blanket for years. This just lost them a customer. Returning this junk and will find a different alternative.

App is simple to use, and made this a great upgrade over the previous version! Gets warm quickly, preheat feature is handy.

Mattress protector with dual controls. So comforting on a cold winter night. Fits great and easily adjust lighted heat levels.

Great product I use Alexa to turn on a half hour before going to bed. No more cold sheets.

I didnt read the instructions to put the plug at the foot of the bed, it was a disappointment to have cold feet the first night, so I had to remake my bed and put it at the foot of the bed, now its all good and I love that I can turn it on from my phone.

It works so well. The WIFI connection is thought was a bit of a gimmick. It works amazing and the safety feature does well. Thanks Sunbeam.

We have had several of these but this one is the one we like best, easy to setup and connect to the App and Alexa. No longer have to remember to turn it on before we go to bed and programmed to turn off when we tell Alexa goodnight. It also seems to have better heat coverage as well.

Unit works as advertised The Wi-Fi can be turned on remotely which is a bonus either from the app or from your home assistant. I think it's biggest problem is the fact that on a cold morning you don't want to get out of bed....
