I hurt my toes on a long hike and my nails were messed up for a long time. It was getting painful to wear shoes and my nails were getting caught on my socks. These helped tremendously. My nails ended up falling off and without these, I wouldn’t be able to wear shoes at all. They are very soft and comfortable. They do sweat a bit but that didn’t bother me. I think these will also be great to prevent more toe injuries during my crazy hikes.

I only needed one toe cap, for an injured toe beside my big toe but I'm glad to have clean extras. I've only worn one while out for an evening so can't comment on durability but it looks good to use again. My injured toe is secured with steri-strips, gauze and tape. The gel cap slips on easily over these bandages and makes it possible for me to wear open-toed shoes outdoors and keep the bandages clean. It stays in place while I'm walking but is easy to remove. Does make your toe longer than usual. I stubbed the toe going up a stair--ouch--so you'll still need to be careful, but the blood blister at the end of my toe did not break, so the gel cap does offer some protection. I wear those caps not to ruin my tights and it works very well. They fit my big toe well, and are comfortable. Very easy to wash as well. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because once you wash them, the powdery finish disappears and it makes it more difficult to put the tights on, they stick to the material. Apart from that, once they're on, you totally forget them. They also last long; I've been wearing the same pair for over a month now, 2-3 times a week on average, and they're holding well.

I usually get the ones with the long bit that cushions the side of your toe/bunion area but opted for these to wear with ballet flats. They're comfortable and don't move around if you're wearing socks. I'll keep it on and go sockless around the house and might have to readjust it a few times but it's better than the other ones flopping around while you walk! I only need this for my left foot so this bag will last me a while - great purchase.

This item is flexible and very easy to use. Purchased after toenail avulsion surgery. It provides extra support when I am outside my home; however, for my purposes (post-surgery healing), I can only wear it for a minimal amount of time because it does not allow for air circulation as the surgery site heals. It has been a brilliant option for my purposes - just what I was looking for!
