FEL-PRO VS 50639 R-1 Engine Valve Cover Gasket Set for Ford Fusion

Confirmed this product fit a 2005 Ford Focus! If doing yourself watch several videos on the matter and make absolutely sure the engine is the same as yours. Sealant is not required but is optional. This issue is apparently common for this make and model of vehicle. Since oil spills into spark plug compartments, it would be wise to replace all spark plugs and ignition coils as well. For this engine, would need 4 spark plugs and 4 ignition coils.

Very nice fitment for a 2007 Mazda 3 2.3L hatchback. The blue color makes it very to see if any part of the gasket is pinched.

Thanks a good quality gasket set, that being said however for the 2.3 engine I found the middle gaskets fit perfectly and it sealed nicely but the large outer perimeter gasket was about a half inch too long. I had to cut it then put a little fipg on the seam. Not a huge problem but be prepared for it. You can't cram it all in the rail, at least on this engine, be prepared.

Very impressed. Easy to install and quality seems great. The replacement how-to videos I've seen show people having problems with valve cover gaskets falling out of the cover during installation BUT these Fel-pro gaskets gaskets have perpendicular ribs that hold the gasket firmly in the grooves of the cam cover without any part of them falling out. You can see these little ribs sticking out in the closeups of the product pictures. Great design and made installation easy. Also a sporty blue color.

Carefully remove old one with plyers! I cracked the plastic lip of the valve cover! This product is great though!

Perfect fitment and easy installation on 2010 Ford Duratec 2.0. **This is the gaskets you will need if your spark plugs wells are full of engine oil** All 4 gaskets were simply a pleasure to install in their valve cover grooves. Figure approximately 60 minutes of wrenching and most of all cleaning and preparing surfaces. There is 14 valve cover stud/bolts. Each will need to be torque down in the proper sequence to 89inches-pound. Also make sure you have some gasket maker available for those 2 casting marks where the cylinder head meets the timing cover. This step is often forgotten! Fel-Pro is really a premium quality source when it comes to automotive gaskets. *UPDATE DECEMBER 2024: valve cover area has not developed any leaks after 3 years and approximately 30000km extra mileage. Follow Ford workshop manual with this quality part and you will be golden*
