Great value for money
The price was attractive and the quality is very decent. My package came without the number cards though which I was disappointed about. It’s not the end of the world and I’ll try to order a separate set of numbers to place on that little shelf as shown in the pictures.

I like it but there’s a problem
So I bought this for my four year old to help her with basic counting and subtraction and upon using a guide how to use it I’m really impressed with how much it can be used for. Turns out I had no idea how to use an abacus. The only real issue I have and it’s quite a bit one is how it’s been put together. Firstly the stand is a bit weak, so it’s prone to be pushed over quite easily. But the biggest drawback is that the beads have a large drill circumference where as the poles the beads sit on is very narrow. This means that when using it, often the beads will interfere with the beads below or above them. If however the beads had been drilled to the same size as the pole that goes through them then there would be less movement and thus easier to use. It’s kind of difficult to explain, but basically the beads slide well but unfortunately they have too much movement vertically also, and this is an issue when using it. I’ll probably keep the beads and get some thicker rods and modify it.
