This mask is definitely metal with sharp edges so unless you add padding of some kind it’s not ideal to put on and go. Had to add pieces of moleskin medical padding for it to have been worn. Great solid construction with real thick leather straps, would use at an art piece more than a functional mask. Item did arrive with oil film, but easily cleaned up.

This was for my son and may I just say this was PERFECT!!! He was SO happy with it. We were a little skeptical at first but not only was the mask a good weight, it looked JUST like MF Doom!!! Many Thanks for this!

The most realistic and high quality product I’ve gotten in a very long time. I constantly get compliments on it. Incredible value. Adjustable fit with leather straps. Great for MF DOOM costume. Solid metal. I dropped it and it missed up the floor rather than damaged the mask.

Like many of the other reviews say, the mask does come with a weird oily layer on it. I assume this oil might be used to avoid corrosion but the mask did come with some mark which look like rust. When I received the mask I gave it a good wash and tried to remove some of the dirty and rusted looking areas with a dremel tool. It clean up decently (some marks would not go away). I gave the mask to my girlfriend, who an MF Doom fan, and she absolutely loved it. If your willing to spend some time to clean up the mask I would say it is a pretty good buy.

Exactly what I was expecting good quality for the price looks just like the real one the only thing that some people might not like is when it arrives it will have a coat of oil on it I’m assuming this is so the metal stays shiny but other than that it looks and feels great it’s also not too heavy so it’s comfortable to wear.

My teenage son wanted an MF Doom style mask, and after some research, I ordered this one. The mask arrived 3 days later than promised, which was a bit disappointing as we were ordering for a specific event. The mask is made of real steel, is of good, quality construction and well made. Was a bit surprised by the emblem floral design on the side as it wasn't shown in the original photos. Also, the mask arrived covered in oil/grease - I'm assuming this is to prevent rust, but this wasn't stated in the item description when ordering. The vendor should provide a cleaner and cloth with the mask to clean upon arrival. When I unpackaged the mask, the black grease got all over my hands and clothes. I had to clean the mask in order for my son to be able to wear. The inside paint job was not great - some places were worn. As others have stated, if you plan to wear the mask, you will need to procure an inside liner or padding for your face - as the metal is too rough to wear without. Overall, my son is satisfied with the mask - but for the price point, it should have arrived in pristine condition.

The mask is phenomenal, so great I might buy another, unlike other masks it's actually made of metal in true MFDOOM fashion.
