The 18mm is solid and hefty - the 18mm pin is about 0.55 inches thick
Solid piece of hardware. For anyone wondering what diameter the screw pin is as a fraction, the 18mm pin is about 0.55 inches, just a bit over 1/2 inch. That explain why my 1/2 drill wasn’t enough to enlarge the bronze bushing I put the pin through on the hitch of my Scag Liberty 36 mower.I want to be able to attach a large tarp or a large garden wagon to my Scag mower hitch for leaf season in the northeast and general garden work.Makes moving leaves around a lot quicker. I put 2 similar but smaller connectors on the reinforced grommets on a large tarp and connect them to this connector on my Scag hitch with a large carabiner.Works great!

Can be tightened with pliers to stay secure. The stainless hopefully will keep up.
An easy way to secure the safety chains and well made. The pin screws in to keep them secure and with a pair of plyers and just a little pressure they tighten to secure.

Salt water approved.
Exactly what I wanted to use with my new anchor line. It will attach to my boat with plenty of room for the thimble (anchor line). A must for salt water boats. Appears to be of great quality. Only took a couple of days to arrive.

Pin diameter missing from specs, so here it is
The one dimension not listed on the product description is the diameter of the pin. On many shackles, the pin diameter is more than the diameter of the rest of the shackle, so I measured it. Pin is just a hair over 7/16", or just a bit under 12mm, so slightly thinner than the rest of the shackle.Shackles appear well made. I needed something for my ATV hitch, which wouldn't accommodate the 7/8" pin on my 3/4" shackles, and so it was easier to buy these smaller shackles than drill out the thick steel to handle a larger pin.Seem to be a good grade of stainless. I've seen a few reviews that complain they weren't that strong. You're buying stainless, and due to its low carbon content, it's softer than typical carbon steel. You can get these in non-stainless, if strength is more important than rust resistance.

These fit hitch on 2022 F250
I have a pontoon boat trailer with safety cable hooks that will not clip on to the hitch on my new-to-me 2022 F250. I only use this trailer to take the boat out of the water for service once a year, and never pull it far. These fit and are a good low cost solution for my needs.
