It was just one pair of hands crafting new skateboards designed for friends and families so they would have an easier time learning and riding together. The design grows with the founder since 2003 and evolves to fit easily into an up and about urban lifestyle. On Oct. 18, 2016, the well-refined concept was named Elos, which stands for "Effortless Lifestyle of Skateboarding", and became a reality with the support from over 600 visionaries around the world through Kickstarter. Currently, Elos is headquartered in the Bay Area, California and is enjoyed by urban commuters, explorers, and college students around 28 countries for the convenient, stylish, and fun riding experience. For desertcart customers, we will send the exclusive beginners' tutorial on the day you received your Elos to make sure you enjoy the ride as quickly as possible! Are you in? I was debating to get the eggboard or this, and thought that this would be worth the extra price for the quality especially because of safety concerns. I am glad I chose this. I really enjoy the handles for carrying around, it is very convenient. For beginners, it is best to try on pavement that is not completely smooth but it also cannot be too uneven. I was excited to try it right away I barely read all the packaging that came with it but there are many helpful instructions and even how to obtain a 1 year warranty from purchase. If you have very large feet, it may be difficult to learn as a beginner. I am a average height female and I think it is near a perfect fit for me. ## Features - ULTRA-PORTABLE - At only 4 lbs, you can easily bring Elos anywhere and it won't bog you down. Kids can ride or carry it themselves leaving you to enjoy cruising as well. - EASY to LEARN - The iconic extra-wide deck design makes Elos stable and user-friendly even for absolute beginners. Pro-users can take on sharp corners with ease while enjoying a smoother than air ride. With a low center of gravity, beefy 72mm wheels, and adjustable trucks riders all contribute to a cruise like no other. - SUPER STABLE - Elos is a lightweight cruiser with big soft wheels built for the smoothest ride in the neighborhood and around parks! Knees and joints will stay safely intact while you ride. - EASILY FITS into YOUR LIFESTYLE - Designed for everyday use. The no-scratch coating provides grip and won’t damage your clothes/shoes. Built-in reflective trucks allow you to ride with confidence day or night. Small and compact design means you can keep one in the car, tuck it in your backpack, or dock it nearby when on the go. - CUSTOMER SUPPORT and UNIQUE QR CODE - If you think Elos isn’t techie enough, just use any QR code scanner to read the laser engraved QR serial code. Now you can register your board, claim ownership whenever you need, watch riding tutorials and catch up with our customer support team to enjoy our 1-year warranty. Elos designs its own trucks with a suspension system for a smoother ride in a compact form while keeping everything ultralightweight. **Q: Is the board flat or does it have a curve?** A: The Elos deck has a slight concave design that works with your foot to provide better control and stability while turning. If it feels too stiff or soft, adjust the trucks using the kingpin. Watch our YouTube tutorial: "Elos Skateboards" for guidance **Q: Is the Elos board good for beginners?** A: Absolutely! Elos is wide, stable, and beginner-friendly. Follow our 5-minute "Start for Absolute Beginners" video tutorial (via the code on your board or YouTube: "Elos Skateboards") to ensure you get started on the right track. **Q: Does Elos board have a kicktail? Can I do tricks on it?** A: No, Elos is designed for cruising and portability, so it lacks a traditional kicktail for tricks. Instead, it features a foot anchor at the tail for added control. If doing tricks is your goal, a trick board would be a better choice. **Q: Does the Elos board have grip tape?** A: Yes, Elos features a hand-applied silicon-carbide top grip for optimal traction without being too abrasive. It ensures stability while protecting your hands, clothes, and shoes. However, we recommend avoiding wet or slippery surfaces. Use a couple of Molly straps to hold the wheels(holds without the straps, but I swing my bag slot). I take public transport (both bus and trains} so I needed a small deck so that I can move in crowded spaces. I used to skate many many years ago. Took a bit to get used to the size. But the guide of where to put your feet is good. Once I put my heel on the logo was able to balance much better. Still miss having a kick tail. But the 'flatness' make it easy to store. ## Frequently Bought Together - Elos Mini Longboard Cruiser Skateboards - Lightweight, Portable & Durable Wooden Commuter Cruiser Board. for Beginners & Experienced Riders - Easy to Carry w Handle - ELOS All-in-One Skate Tool - a Portable t Tool kit for Longboard Skateboard with T-Type Allen Wrench L-Type Phillips Head Screwdriver.
