Outstanding Value in a sleek little package
I had a much more expensive under-the-seat subwoofer in my vehicle. Recently it wouldn't power on, so after checking all the wires were still correct, I concluded it simply died and replaced it with the Blaupunkt 300W. It arrived quickly and I was stunned at what a wonderful, little, beautiful (dare I say sexy?) subwoofer it is. My other amp is a hard plastic casing, but this was molded metal, nice and heavy, and ready to bump some bass. When I hooked it up, I found the sound was every bit as good as the more expensive amp I had been using. There simply is no reason not to get this little gem.

Excellent Little Sub!
I was looking to round out the bass extension in my GTI's stock sound system and wanted something that was compact and easy to integrate. This Blaupunkt sub fit the bill. I gotta say for such a small and thin subwoofer, it packs quite the punch. It exceeded my expectations and I'm very happy with the sound quality and build quality. It's solid and heavy. I also like that the speaker is well protected from loose trunk cargo. I used to have a single Polk 12" in a sealed box powered by a 500 watt JL amp, this isn't that obviously, but if you manage your expecations this subwoofer will surely impress!

Great *little* subwoofer, but make sure you connect the "remote input" wire to power too.
This subwoofer is nice and small and sounds surprisingly great for its size. It works really well for the entertainment system in my Class C RV where space is tight. When I received and wired up this unit it would not power up -- but wait, read on! I had them send me a replacement. It had the same problem. However, I did not know you had to also apply power to the blue "remote input" wire too (it says nothing about this in the manual). When I wired power to that tiny blue wire bingo, the power LED came on and everything worked.

Excellent quality for the price, experience needed for installation.
For just over $100, this is a great unit for the money. Sound is great, just what I was hoping for. Really rounded out my car stereo sound. Works best if you already have good high and mid range in your car, but just need to add bass. Sub is tunable, be sure to research how to tune it to your stereo for best performance. This unit is not made to provide enough bass to rattle your mirrors.. if you want that then you need to step it up to a big boxed and vented sub with much more power. Plenty of kits out there for that as well, but they take up much more space. It's a trade off I guess. Couple of comments: I strongly suspect some of the negative reviews may be due to incorrect installation and/or set up, or expecting it to bump the license plate off when it's too small for that. The unit pictured is an outdated model, what arrived was a little higher wattage and updated appearance, maybe a newer model, but the build quality seems good. Unit is stout and solid. The installation manual is worded badly here and there, and perhaps not as complete as it could be. As with other makes of amplified subwoofers, it is critical that they be installed correctly or they will fail. I strongly recommend you research correct installation if you are not experienced, and follow exactly all instruction details. No shortcuts! Example, using the incorrect wire gauge or improperly grounding the unit can cause it to fail, or even setting the gain too high. Use RCA cables not the high level outputs for best sound quality (unit does not come with these but you can order them or get them at Target or Best Buy for about $15, for example). If your head unit does not have RCA outputs you may need a LOC (line output converter, also not included), but the amp will take high level outputs if you decide to do it that way, just NEVER do both. Don't plug in or unplug stuff with the unit powered up. Unit does not come with a fuse holder and power supply wire, but I was under the impression that it did, so you have to get these, be sure to get the right wire, terminal connectors, and fuse. You can get these at most auto parts stores or order them from a car audio supplier, just get the right gauge and fuse. I can't stress enough how important correct installation is! Do it right and you will be very happy with this subwoofer.

Great sound and value.
I purchased this to install in a 2021 f150 with the standard 12” screen stereo (not BO system). I tapped into the rear door speakers by accessing the wiring hidden behind the b-pillar trim near the floor on each side of the truck. I also decided to use a line-out converter near the subwoofer rather than the high level inputs since the LOC provided a way to trigger the blue power on/off signal wire. This powered sub won’t rattle your windows, but is more than enough to provide good, balanced bass to the rest of the system. It feels well built and at under $100, you really can’t beat it. Highly recommend.

Great bang for the buck
This one performs far beyond my expectations. Bought this as an experiment to see how well it would fill the low end of the sound system in my extended cab F250. I wasn’t looking to fill the entire back seat with an enclosure etc. and figured I’d give this a shot. After a bit of tuning this completes the system perfectly. It has a great range of bass and sounds amazing. I didn’t expect it to have even half the power and volume it has. Highly recommended if your looking for big bass in a small package. It’s slim enough to fit nicely under any of the seats and not be in the way. 100% completed the system in my truck!

Blaupunkt is out of business. Had high hopes for this but...
Was looking for a compact sub like this and when I saw the price I could not resist. However I went through two of them with the same issue, when connected to high level inputs it appears that the subwoofer did not turn off. I was hoping to find some technical support either on the blaupunkt website or with tech support however there was no contact information in the manual whatsoever and all the websites that it pointed to were out of order. Let's just say that even though it was a good deal and if it worked the lack of technical support is a no-go. It did work okay when I had it connected to my car, I ended up going with a JBL which is far superior as far as sound and performance for not much more money than this.

I had a 10inch, in a big ported box in my Jeep for a while. But recent trip plans, have forced me to find another solution to make more room. This little, and Im sure, underestimated wonder, did the trick! It IS on the pricey side, and not normally something I would splurge on, but Im glad I did. It can't compete with what I HAD, but Ill be damned, it's the little sub that tries. With the types of music I mostly listen to(mostly heavy metal), it adds a good amount of the bottom end needed to keep me happy. If you are the kinda person, that has to let the world hear your bass, this isnt for you. But this lil bugger is a great powerhouse in a small package, for people like me.

Easy install, good quality. Sound is about 80% but still good value for the design and cost.

Good quality. Sounds like a factory 8” sub. It won’t do well with the volume and bass cranked, but at lower to med range volume it is alright.
