I'm familiar with the name Virtue as I've used their shampoo and conditioner in the past and consider it a company that offers quality products, albeit a bit pricey. When I've saw this REFRESH Topical Scalp Supplement, I was eager to see if it would be a beneficial treatment for my scalp and hair.I can't speak to results of healthier scalp and hair at this moment as it's too soon. I've learned that with some products, time and patience are needed before any noticeable improvements can be appreciated. But what I can share now is that it's an easy to apply topical solution. It comes with a rather large and efficient dropper that is angled at the tip making it easy to target the scalp. Directions state to apply one or two droppers full of product and massage into scalp and ends of hair. Considering that the bottle holds only two ounces, the dropper is generous in size and the product is expensive, I am trying to be conservative with not over applying. I'm also hoping that the natural heat of my scalp overnight will help the product to migrate and reach a greater area.As far as the solution itself, it's thick, semi opaque, and a bit on the oily side. Even though you're really not applying this solution as you would a styling product, it nevertheless leaves a residue on the hair. The latter can be a plus or minus depending on your hair's texture. For me who uses a styling gel, it's adding another layer of product buildup that shows up as a bit greasy with a couple of days of consecutive application. As far as what it feels like upon application, well I felt nothing. There is no tingling or any sensation on the scalp to report on.So, did I wake with noticeably better hair? No, but that's okay. This is where trust in the technology behind the product comes in. I'm hoping to improve my scalps oval health and hopefully it will, in time, yield an improved environment that will result in better hair growth overall. I also would have liked to have seen a product insert included in the box that gave a better explanation of how the ingredients are chosen in this solution and how they specifically benefit scalp and hair. There's not much written on the bottle or box.I have taken some photos to give you a closer look at the product and hope that they help you out a bit in deciding what's best for your needs. I'm totally shocked this doesn't get on the pillow. My hair doesn't look greasy, either. And I definitely didn't rinse the next day (though I should've). But you couldn't tell I'd used this. My scalp felt good. I get dandruff like a beast when the weather changes so between this and the Virtue scalp exfoliator I feel like my scalp is healthy and it definitely feels a lot happier (dandruff itch is real].

For the last few years my scalp has made a turn for the worst. No matter what I do I end up with itchy and very flaky skin on my scalp. I have tried numerous products, have tried washing more and less, and while somethings do help a bit nothing has been able to completely stop it. So I am always willing to try out a product like this Virtue topical scalp supplement!So far I have mixed feelings. Sure, it does seam to slightly cut down on the itchiness, but not completely and not hugely either. But that could be due to the fact that I can’t use this daily as it leaves a film and greasiness for your scalp. So for me I have to use it sparingly, which I’m sure takes away from the benefits. For reference I have long and straight hair that’s thin but I have a lot of it. This stuff is seriously noticeable on my scalp after I use it, even if I use just the tiniest amount. Overall it’s not for me unfortunately. Maybe someone who has different hair than me, but for me it’s a no.

This hair serum comes in a very basic design bottle but it works amazingly and it's super effective. It feels so light weighted on scalp and doesn't have any strong smell to bother you. I love using it at nights or couple hours before taking shower and it helps my hair grows stringer and also my scalp look healthier.

I love the idea of scalp focused care but this is not there yet. First, the packaging is blah and the delivery of the serum to the scalp could be a better design. The dropper is wasteful and not easy to use.I did apply only to my scalp but the next day my hair had a chalky film and had to wash to be able to style my hair for the day.
