Thanks to the guy with the 6284 tractor, it does fit, and will work if you go with a smaller bolt. The hole spacing is a bit off, but will accept a smaller bolt. Spins really fast compared to the OEM that was beginning to struggle. Price point was great. Note to anyone out there contemplating the purchase of a 6284 tractor, don't do it until you find out if you can get parts.......you cannot.

Simple plug and play for my diesel generator and works event better than the old own I had installed.

Catapillar Wants over $600.00 for this starter.. what a rip off I think. I bought this starter and it is great!! One review I read said it turned the motor over faster then the factory one and it does just that!! Perfect fit no issues… if it lasts for a reasonable time well worth the price.. If is easy to install on my 247B track Cat.

Starts my MTL every time and far cheaper than OEM.

Have no idea if it works well. It is heavy made. But i had to send it back due to mounting holes not matching mine.

Oem starter went out on my cub cadet 6284, didn’t want to spend $500 for the dealer’s starter. This one will fit, but you’ll need to get m8 hardware. The factor hardware is m10 and because the holes are slightly different the old hardware won’t fit. It’s working great so far, but I’ve only used it 6 times.
