I bought a single desiccant pack a few months ago (maybe May or June 2025) to keep in a drawer I store batteries and charging cables. It did a great job and was easy to recharge—granted I didn’t need to recharge it a lot, it’s still nice to know that I can recharge it when needed. Fast forward to after-Christmas, I noticed that my windows were collecting condensation. I this only happens in the winter when it’s really cold outside and I have the blinds and heavy curtains drawn. To protect the window frames, I got a large pack of these desiccant packs to put by the windows to remove moisture. For my photos, I have a “before desiccant pack.” Then I wiped the window down (remember these things can only remove so much moisture!) and set the desiccant pack on the door snake. I walked away for a couple of hours, and came back to a still dry window (second photo). I put the other packs on my window seals a couple of nights ago and none of them had condensation or moisture on them the next morning! I very pleased with how well these work so far. I even threw a couple in my car to help with defogging the windshield. They work great!

The folks who makes this item includes a note saying "if you ever question the accuracy of the color changing dot, a simple kitchen scale can help. The DryTote weighs roughly 105-110 grams dry and 135 grams when ready to be recharged." That being said I tested this with my first order of 5. All 5 was at or close to 135 grams. The dot did not change color. Luckily I ordered a second set of 5 and replaced them. I recommend recharging this product in the oven at 215 degrees Fahrenheit for 2 to 3 hours on the top rack. They should be good to go after they reach under 110 grams. Immediately put them in a large zip lock bag. The microwave method did not work for me.

Bought this to keep in my gun safe, works as intended. Plan to purchase another for camping gear. Worth the pickup just for the ease of mind.

These are perfect for our fire safe to prevent mold and mildew. Easy to see when it needs replacing/recharging to prevent a musty odor and maintain an ideal humidity level for storage of important paperwork. If the window turns pink, it’s time to replace. Or simply recharge in the microwave following the simple instructions printed on the package.

​This has been such a helpful tool for a frustrating situation. The blower motor went out in my old truck, so I’ve been dealing with moisture forming on the seats during these cold, damp nights. It was enough moisture to make my pants stick to the seat, which was not ideal! ​I was skeptical at first about what this little sac could actually do, but so far, no more "sticky bum" issues. It has a great indicator window on the front—it stays blue when it's good and turns pink when it needs to be recharged. I’ve had it in the truck for about a month now and it’s still blue, so it’s holding up really well. ​The best part is that it's a long-term tool; once it finally turns pink, I can just pop it in the microwave to dry it out until it turns blue again. Highly recommend if you have moisture issues in a vehicle!
