On a previous trip, my suitcase weighed 51 lbs (50 being the limit), rather than the 48 lbs the old scale had indicated. Fortunately for me, the airline rep was generous and told me it was fine, but I have seen them be very strict, and I did not want to be caught re-shuffling things to a carry-on during a future check-in.Reading the reviews for this scale initially , it sounded promising, and especially the small built-in level made a lot of sense.To cut to the chase:A) the scale displayed the same weight each time I weighed my bag (double or triple checking -- one would think that's a given, but not so with the old scale)B) when I got to the airline counter during this trip, their scale reflected the exact same weight as the travel scale, which is obviously the whole point.I also wanted to add that the first shipment I received was defective. Ordinarily that would stop me from giving five stars, but customer service was so excellent, that I wanted to make a point of mentioning this.They got back to me within an hour or so of me contacting them. I described the problem (the scale worked intermittently), mostly thinking there may be a way to recalibrate it or something along those lines. They immediately said they would rather just send out a replacement, which I received within two days. No fuss, no issue whatsoever.
