Whether cutting regular timber or chipboard etc these bits are sharp and easy to use. Just be careful to ensure the depth is set appropriate to your needs AND go very slowly until the bit bites. They do not need a super high speed drill, just a steady hand and do yourself a favour and try and practise on some scrap wood first to get the hang of using them. On a few occasions I have used a piece of masking tape where I need to make the hole as the point of the bit grips to that easily, compared to a lacquered or gloss type finish.
