    Item wasn't compatable to existing pump.

The part was a perfect fit for some other pump but not for my existing unit. When the order said these two items often purchased together I made the assumption that it would work with my pump. But alas it did not, so I had to return it and go to the pool supply to get the piece that was compatible to my pump. Therefore my suggestion would be to say check pump model number for compatible parts.
