My primary care physician recommended this brand for a specific reason. I have consistently improved. So for me they have been effective. I didn’t let them dissolve in my mouth. I chewed them. The flavor is a mild cherry and is quite good.

While expensive, the price is cheaper as compared to getting 3 different vitamins of this quality and mg. All the forms are immediately useable by the body. I’ve been taking Jarrow B12/folate for atleast 5 years now. When I found out I had MTHFR this seemed to be the only brand that really made me feel and see a difference. I’ve tried various other brands from naturopaths- expensive, reputable ones, but only Jarrow gives me immediate results that drastically improve my life….such as decreased irritability, usually within 45 min., and it helps my hair loss. I know I’m low on B12/folate when I start losing hair in the shower…this gives me tons of regrowth too. When you have MTHFR you have to figure out the dosage that is right for you- too much can make you feel irritable or unwell…and too little may not show improvements. So I’ve vacillated between the dosages. My kids take the lower dose 1,000. It helps my child with irritability as well. And one major positive is that they taste good (both 5000 and 1000 versions), so it’s easy for everyone to remember and want to take this- which is a huge help with children!
