These are made of high quality and work very well. They will last for a very long time. Always use a rubber mallet as to not damage the punches.

The best key feature of this set is that it is capable of punching holes in both the inner and outer diameter of the material being used for gasket, spacers etc. that it is being applied to. The punches are sharp and leaves a clean and precise cut. I would highly recommend this for your particular application needs.

Every mechanic should have a set of these. A little pricey, but great quality. Work great.

Needs a nylon insert on threads of inner punch to prevent its continual backing out. I had to use fingernail polish. (Works like a weaker loctite.) Other than that, too is exactly what I needed. Easily cuts 8/9 leather with 3-4 blows. Perfect leather washers! Easy to get in rhythm of striking, twisting off outer ring, remove cut washer, replace outer cutter, repeat.

I've decided that Mayhew makes the Rolls Royce of punches. Granted, you'll pay out the ears for them, but compared to cheaper quality tools they're much more efficient and will last longer, no doubt. When nothing else was up to the task, I purchased this set to put 1/4 inch holes in sheet copper. No problem at all. Great quality.
