Being a long time user of SmallRig products, it was a no brainer to give this one a shot after my Comica shotgun mic mount snapped. This SmallRig design is built to last, compact, and the dual shock absorb cushions between the mic holder & coldshoe is top notch. This thing is built with metal, (not some cheap plastic) & both the mic mount & onto camera or coldshoe mount is locked to stay. A must have. SmallRig for the win!

I have a few shotgun mic’s and they all come with those red stands you see everywhere. They work, especially the new Helix style that Rode has implemented. But this SMALLRIG mic holder is both style and function. It’s a definite upgrade and hold all my different sized mic’s well, providing a good shock mount and much greater professional look when in use. Recommended.

Love this thing! Bought a shotgun mic for my phone and it came with this cheap plastic holder that would bend under the weight of the mic and wind fury. This holder has no problem keeping my mic in place.
