8341-50ML No-Clean Soldering Flux Paste, 49.0 g Jar, Pack of 1

I bought 10ML of MG Chemicals - 8341 on 4-2020 and I forgot I had it for over 5 years! Well I popped the top and to my surprise it was absolutely perfect. I quickly noticed it was really thick and moderately difficult to push out of the large nozzle. I was testing my new Sequre ht 140 hot tweezers. With the assistance of this flux it worked like a dream. When heated the thick opaque cream turned sticky and runny. Spanning out away from the heat source. As I heated the pad on the board and feed the Kester to the tip the flux did it's magic and a beautiful mound of solder formed on the board pad. Not much smoke at 350C and no smell was detected. Being 5 plus years in storage it worked perfectly. I felt that satisfaction well up inside me as I moved to the next pad. The only let down was cleaning the flux off of the board. I was as sticky as a glue trap for mice. ISP had to be applied and scrubbed 4 times to remove it. Aside from that, the flux functioned perfectly and was easy to use. 5 star product as I see it.

Order the stuff to do motherboard on a cluster on a Chevy vehicle. It worked well and helped easy to use. It came sealed. The value was pretty good compared to the others

I never knew how much I needed this until I saw it. I always tried to use the solder suckers and always ran into issues. One use with this stuff and I'm sold for life. Just heats up the entire area and gives you that freedom to move the solder around or pick it up rather than having to risk burning some stuff up (I'm not a very skilled solderer but I try, and this stuff makes me feel a little more skilled). Will definitely be buying a few packs of this just to keep stocked up and avoid any painful desoldering days. The setup is easy. Everything connects together simple. Instructions make it very easy. Application onto the surface is controlled and not just shooting out like crazy glue in a tube. I really feel more in control of my projects with this stuff than I ever have before. It's like finally having that stuff I saw in tutorials that made it all look so easy. Best thing ever for my soldering confidence. Buy it if you need it.

I love this for easily adding a touch of flux. As others have said the back part, plunger, tends to fall out. No big deal, but you can add a small rubber band or o-ring near the inner end and it will stay in place. Experiment. Also, if you are in a cool room and the flux is hard to push out, heat the tip with something like a soldering iron, heat gun, or even your fingers.

This stuff is pricey compared to other generic flux, but its worth it. It performs MUCH better than the flux paste I previously used. It seems to reduce the viscosity and allows the solder to flow much better/faster than before. Also, the syringe applicator is significantly easier to work with than the toothpicks I used to use. Happy with the purchase.

Having had no experience soldering and also having no idea how to do it, I must say that a few hours on YouTube and a few solders later I am competent at soldering now. Yes it took a few tries but this no clean flux is absolutely great. With this new skill I was actually able to save quite a bit of money. The motherboard on my fridge had a resistor burn out and I was able to replace a $3 resistor over a $3500 fridge. Worth its weight in gold? I would say so (gold prices are climbing lol)

This is an excellent product, it is easy to use and achieves a good result with good solder flow.

Nice quality soldering flux paste in a easy to use splunger dispenser. The metal nozzle is a good size and lenght which aids in applying the right amount of flux. 8341 is a no-clean, halogen-free flux with non-conductive, non-tacky, and non-tacky residues, ideal for touch-ups and reworks, so does not require cleaning after use, (but i always clean after soldwriing with IPA regardless). Works well with both leaded and lead free solders. I would recommend and purchase again.
