The item pictured is not what I received. The lock requires a key on both sides. This is very disappointing and not ideal. Why show pictures of a different lock and not update the description?Installing the lock took more time than needed given the poor directions. An antique mortise lock with porcelain knob was being replaced. With a few modifications, prayers, breaks, laughs and extra tools, it was installed on antique french doors.

This lock was perfect I’ve been looking for one for years so I was excited when I found one. Initially I ordered the wrong one but when I reached out to their customer service they easily fixed it which was awesome. The only thing is that I wish the inside was a turning lock rather than a dual key lock but that has been even harder to find.

This security door lock is great and very sturdy. We got one locally a few years ago and the Knobs were so flimsy they broke off this winter with the cold. I ordered this one based solely on the description and picture hoping it was better made. I'm glad I bought this one. The knobs are very sturdy and the nickel satin finish looks great.
