Review: Marcy: A good starter - This is an entry level home gym setup. I purchased it on sale to use for specific exercises recommended by my physical therapist. It will certainly meet my needs. I have a lot of experience assembling large and small items. For me the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I also felt the quality of parts fit their application. The unit was packed well, and arrived in perfect condition. As people move to more involved equipment, this model ends up on the resale market a lot. They all look good, showing the durability of the parts. I’m happy with the purchase. My only wish is that Marcy, like other manufacturers, would produce an app that demonstrates the various exercises that can be performed on it. You either need personal guidance from a pro, or have to search the web for options. Review: Senior female here. Really good machine. - This machine is excellent! I'm a retired senior female in my 60's who decided I needed to start basic weigh training. The assembly of this machine looked daunting, but the instructions are very good, and the video listed here with the product is excellent. I used both video and written instructions and had no problems putting the machine together by myself with zero help. I worked on it a couple of hours a day over the course of 3 days while watching TV. To start, I took all of the small pieces out of the packaging and put them in labeled storage bags, which made it much easier to keep separated (see photo). Once I started using it, I realized quickly how much I needed this machine when I could barely lift any weight in various exercises. For some of the exercises, I removed the weight pin, so that I am only lifting the smaller weight on top of the stack. I'll work my way up over time. I went to YouTube and found several videos showing various workouts on this exact machine, some produced by Marcy, which were extremely helpful to get me started. I saved them and put them on the TV to watch while using the machine. The only things I purchased separately were an additional clip for the ankle strap, so that I did not have to remove one from the top bar each time, and a separate smaller bar for the bicep curls, so that I did not have to keep switching the top bar to the bottom and back. One factor in picking this specific machine is that it fit well in my small home office along with a walking pad treadmill, a glute machine, a desk and chair, bookcase, TV, printer, record player, drawers, etc. So far so good. I do recommend this machine. Just have patience during assembly. ## Features - PREMIUM STEEL CONSTRUCTION – This home gym system is made with heavy-duty steel tubing and reinforced with guard rods that hold weight in place during workouts. - WEIGHT STACK LOCK – This gear comes with a 150-pound selectorized weight stack that can be customized according to your skill level to avoid the stresses of loading and unloading weight plates with a safety lock that prevents unauthorized use of equipment - DUAL ACTION PRESS ARMS-Designed with dual action press arms, this versatile equipment allows you to perform chest press and vertical butterfly exercises to develop your biceps, triceps, pectorals, and other muscles with a simple remove/insertion of a pin - REMOVEABLE CURL PAD – This home gym machine features ergonomically designed seats with high-density boxed upholstery to reduce tension and impact. That one hits home because it scared the hell outta me. When the truck came & we were unloading it, I asked him the same thing. He said there were 2 packages (& there were). 1 was the machine & 100# of weights, as that is the normal one. Then, since I (you) ordered the 150# set, you will have a second package shipped with the other one and this one will have the extra 50# of weights. It was all there but I had to laugh because that was EXACTLY what I was worried about. I have been using it for about a month now and, especially for the price, I absolutely love it. My grandson, age 22, started working out with me (but he hasn't caught up with the old-timer yet)! I think u will love it! **Q: Why did the price just double in 24 hours? this model is listed at "best under $500". last night july 14, these were $499, now they are over $1,000.** A: Absolutely pandemic greed. "Out of stock" has nothing to do with it. If anything, a delay in receiving it should decrease the price, not increase it. This is no different from price gouging gas stations raising the price of gas during/after a hurricane. All these sellers are despicable. Look at the weider home gym. Looks comparable and the price hasn't been manipulated. **Q: Can weight plates be added and what’s is the max capacity?** A: Additional weight plates can not be added to this home gym. **Q: Does this come with Lat bar and ankle strap?** A: Yes, this machine comes with both items. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Marcy: A good starter *by T***E on December 15, 2025* This is an entry level home gym setup. Assembly takes several hours, and mine came with a part that was damaged in shipping - but the replacement process was very easy. The number of exercises you can do and the smoothness of operation is really quite good for home equipment (i.e. not professional-grade equipment you would find in a gym), especially for the price. My only minor gripe would be that it would have been nice for Marcy to put cushioned grips on the bench press handles (which they did for the lat-pulldown bar), but this can be easily and cheaply remedied with bicycle handgrips (which I subsequently got from Amazon). Highly recommended. ## Frequently Bought Together - Marcy Multifunction Steel Home Gym 150lb Weight Stack Machine - Marcy Heavy Duty Nylon Triceps Rope for Upper Body Workout TCR-24 - ProsourceFit Puzzle Exercise Mat Β½ in, EVA Interlocking Foam Floor Tiles for Home Gym, Mat for Home Workout Equipment, Floor Padding for Kids, Grey, 24 in x 24 in x Β½ in, 144 Sq Ft - 36 Tiles --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.nz/products/383406887-home-gym-station-with-150-lb-weight-stack-multifunction-2](https://www.desertcart.nz/products/383406887-home-gym-station-with-150-lb-weight-stack-multifunction-2) --- *Product available on Desertcart New Zealand* *Store origin: NZ* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
