Q: Can I use this on granite?

No you cannot - it is for calicum based material. There is no calcium in granite. Mark

Q: Do I clean the residue off with a marble cleaner (Black Diamond Stoneworks MARBLE & TILE) and then immediately apply a sealer or do I wait 24 hours?

I am not sure what you mean by' clean the residue off?' I used this on a marble topped side table to remove fine scratches. After I finished, I used a damp cloth to wipe off the polishing powder; but I cant address the time frame in which you need to apply sealer afterwards, since my table top does not experience the same type of use as a kitchen counter.

Yes. Using the polishing compound abraids the material mechanically which will remove some sealer. Reseal it!
