Purchased Ultimate first bc that’s a normal size for a cooking utensil but it wasn’t comfortable to use. The grip required bit more strength to hold and the length was bit long. Even my husband who weight lifts daily agreed. I am a fan of products from GIR so brought a mini. And this is the one to use daily.

Especially for the price, i am just overwhelmed with the build quality of these. They are weighty, but not too heavy. they feel good. Everything feels so sturdy. I am beyond impressed! Will be sticking with the GiR brand for a very long time!

These small tongs are so handy. I already had a set of mini tongs similar in size, but those have a scalloped edge and they curve so that they bulge outward. This leaves only a tiny part at the point of that scalloped edge that makes contact with slender things like lunchmeat or cheese slices. GIR tongs have a flat edge across the end that allows for much more of the tong's surface to get a good grip on those kind of foods. They also have the scallops along the sides for holding other kinds of food items. I appreciate that they lock closed to save space when not in use. I've run mine through the dishwasher half a dozen times already and there is no sign of rust or warping.

The nylon is very rigid and the edges are very sharp.

They are not silicone, but are black nylon plastic. Bad product description

Too big. That is why I gave a 3 stars. Might be great for outside grilling.
