I daisy chained two 12v car batteries (720 CCA) together. I used 12 gage stranded wire (positive and negative) designed for car audio and soldiered the ends. I squared the ends soldered ends so they would fit properly into the solar charge controller. If you want AC power as I did I ran two more 12 gage wires (positive and negative) for the inverter. I hooked up a 1200 watt power inverter with 12v USB and other power options. This is an isolated 120v AC system and will run several lights, TV, radio, etc. **Q: Hi I'm looking for the same but off grid, is this off grid or could I get one of the same off grid?** A: This IS an off-grid system. I have never been on-grid at my present location.
