This is a wonderful supplement and an excellent brand. It really works and I only take half the dose with a cinnamon supplement and it brought my A1C down a little and my glucose spikes weren’t as high. Start low dose and pay attention if you have any stomach discomfort and ask a doctor how to proceed. I always go by my symptoms and adjust from there to my comfort. It’s a marathon. Not a race. Watch for hypoglycemia symptoms (and do not take with other glucose reducing supplements without a doctors approval) and have some glucose test strips on hand to keep track of your sugar levels and journal everything. This is a great product that was recommended to me by my naturopath. It keeps my gut in order and when I stop taking it I notice a difference. It's an excellent brand which is why you pay more. Highly recommend but as always check with your dr first. I actually had a friend struggling for months with tummy issues. Multiple tests, multiple Dr's telling her to take antacid. Nothing worked, until she started taking this.

Berberine was recommended by my doctor for my SIBO and constipation. Generally due to Mast Cell issues I cannot tolerate many herbal supplements, but because this Berberine is lower dosing (200mg/capsule) it gave me more control over the amount I took. I was able to spread out the dosing over many hours. Additionally, these are capsules, not gel caps, which for me was better tolerated. I felt it was helpful and for me it worked better than the Xifaxin. Only warning is that the Berberine does interact with pharmaceuticals. I found it enhanced potency of prescription drugs for some and other times it reduced potency. A skin rash did begin on my hands about day 10 and so I took a break. However, as I felt improvement to my SIBO and constipation while taking it, I will take it again, but a lower dosing and carefully watch for any return of the skin rash.

After seeing a doctor for over a year with no improvement, I found this product. Within two weeks my stomach and intestines feel the most normal that I have felt in over a year. I even had two rounds of the $2000 prescription which did nothing. I highly recommend this product. I do not know for sure if I have had problems with SIBO or IBS, but I have seen a GREAT improvement with the Berberine Complex.

Excellent for pcos

I have been taking berberine for several years for my sugar levels with great success ...got this hoping for even better results did not check my sugar for several weeks and had diabetic trauma !!! Maybe it will work better for you but I switched back to the cheep stuff.

Lost ten pounds in 6 months using this. Helps with food noise. And satiation. I take it twice a day.
