We beat the crap out of these and they help up. Did a week long desert race on mopeds and used these. They are durable little cdi boxes

The original one shidded the bed, and this one saved the day. Worked great. No performance boost, though.

It worked well for two years. Then the engine started to surge and falter. I thought it was possibly a fuel issue because it was intermittent at first. Like dirt in the carb. Cleaned the entire fuel system and carb. No improvement. Finally it just quit running. Thankfully close to home. Went back to the OEM CDI and it's now running fine.

Update: No good. Went out pretty fast. Went back stock Easy install. Great packaging. Looks new and not previously used. Performance: smoothed out my throttle response and I think my acceleration improved. No changes to my top speed. Easy start-up from a cold start. Can’t say about when it’s warmed up. No changes in sounds. I can’t say anything about longevity as I have only ridden once with it. I could never get my RPMs past 5000 and it didn’t change my rpms. Overall- I think it was worth the cost and time to improve my acceleration and the finicky carb tuning. Current set-up: 139QMB with Taida 80cc BBK 18mm carb with 92 main jet and 35 pilot Performance exhaust and stock air box
