The pictures I included are before and after about thirty minutes. I used one generous coat. There is a strong sting, and it’s especially uncomfortable if it gets on your tongue. I was prepared for the pain and don’t mind it; what makes a difference to me is that the product works. I have tried almost every lip plumper on the market, from $5 to $45. This plumper has the most noticeable and longest lasting results. From the time of initial application, my lips stayed plump for around 4 hours. If you keep applying every 5-10 minutes, you will get better results. However, when I did this, the plumper began to drip down my lips to my chin, making the skin red. It also made the skin around my lips red, which made me look like a kid who stained their face with a popsicle. I was able to cover it up with concealer lip liner in order to enjoy the effect, but I’m obviously not able to do that if I don’t plan to wear other makeup.

This was the first lip plumper that I saw results that lasted. It does burn at first, but it's worth it! The more you use it the less it seemed to burn.

Obviously lip plumpers never really “plump” your lips or make them bigger. They just tingle or sting a little which make your lips react to the chemicals in them. This lip product burns your lips and dries them out. I’ve had numerous people tell me after trying the product that it hurts too much. Especially if you get the gloss on the corners of your mouth or even on your tongue (which is ridiculously easy to do). Also, the applicator is a flat, plastic surface; not a brush or doe foot applicator. If you want a product that simply burns your mouth, this is the product for you. If you want a simple lip sting, this isn’t it.
