Excellent for product photography and videography.
I have traditional photography strobes but needed something for high def video. I’m doing table top product photography. This lightweight continuous is SO bright, it’s replaced my bulky strobes and modifiers. This comes with so much, but I’ve only needed the light so far. It’s built well, sturdy. A fantastic value. For something so small to replace so many lights, I’m thrilled.

Powerful light
Super powerful and easy to adjust. Haven’t played with the app/remote feature yet. But it lights up a whole room.

UPDATE THE FIRMWARE AS SOON AS YOU GET THE LIGHT
First I will address the issue. If your light comes with the 1.1 firmware, update it as soon as you get it to 1.3 or higher. If you don't, the bluetooth will fail at some point and you will be unable to control or update your light via Sidus Link. There is no USB port for flashing the firmware so once the bluetooth goes, it's stuck that way. There is also another quirk where sometimes the firmware will only update when it is under battery power, so you may need some NPF batteries. Aputure was very helpful and shipped me a replacement light which I immediately updated. The actual light is awesome. Color temp is accurate and the fact that it comes with a softbox and a snap grid is amazing. When it is hooked up to Sidus link, it works flawlessly (except the whole bluetooth issue). I have two of these and once I got past the firmware issue, they have been amazing and perfectly match my Amaran 100D.

Great light but the batteries on the back …
Luckily I had two I could use for it but otherwise u have to use it while it’s plugged into something . It doesn’t come with the batteries to work it while it’s not plugged in so that part kinda sucks. You’d have to pay extra to get those and mine also didn’t stay powered up for too long bc it’s a powerful light and takes a lot of juice ! Other than that it’s amazing the light !!

Weighs 2.2 lbs
I was hoping I could use this as a direct key light for product photo shoots, but it doesn't quite feel safe to tilt it down to 45 degrees or more, since a small 1/4" bit is the only thing holding the 2.2 lbs panel and the softbox. I am sure this will be excellent for portrait shootings thou.

I have bought several of these over the years, and they're great, dependable 60W lights. Work well on npf batteries (about 45 min a full power, with an accurate estimate of battery life that changes as you change the power level), but need reasonable batteries (Neewer brand are fine) - cheaper npf batteries can't supply the current they need, so the panel switches off after a few seconds with cheap or old batteries. Love that the P60X can charge npf batteries too. The soft boxes aren't huge, and are easy to break, but you can get them separately and cheaply. Only things to watch out for are: The included mounting clamp is not great - it's heavy and only held by a screw with no anti-twist, and holds the light at an angle on a light stand, so the centre of gravity wants to make it fall if you want to bounce light off the ceiling. It's a problem with the lightweight P60X and a big problem with the slightly bigger and much heavier P60C. Solution is to get an aftermarket yoke that swivels the light on its own centre of gravity. I got one for one light and it's good, but super-expensive. For another light, I cannibalised a yoke from a cheap light instead and it works fine with a bit of bending, and solves the balance issue. The soft box doesn't fit in the case with the light. The Sidus app opens up all sorts of extra possibilities once you have a few Amaran products, but I'm finding it too much work to keep updating connections as I update phones and add new Amaran lights. All in all, a product that I've grown to trust over the years, and happy to get more.
