Instant Pot Tempered Glass Lid, 10.2-In, 8-Qt, Cooking Pot Lid, Stainless Steel Handle and Rim, Clear

One of the best purchases I've ever made!! I purchased it with an extra stainless steel pot. Now I can place one pot with the cooked food in the fridge with the lid on it and start another dish in the other instant pot. I love that I can see through the lid and see what's inside the pot when it's in the fridge. It's sturdy, well made, and well designed aesthetically. Fits perfectly, easy to clean, seals well, easy to store and to use.

This instant pot lid, fits my 4 quart instant pot perfectly. Very good quality. Love it. It is for a 6 quart instant pot. But works for 4 quart too.

This lid sat in my virtual Amazon cart for over two years. I have watched the price drop (an especially deep cut occurs around Black Friday, just a heads-up) and then raise and then drop and raise over and over again. It seemed like an impulse buy and an unnecessary purchase, so I never could quite justify it. My AMEX card gave me a 10% discount deal recently and I finally decided to live a little and buy it this month. It arrived quickly and I put it to immediate use. I only have one word for it: L-O-V-E-L-Y. I am in absolute love with this lid. It is OEM, 9 inches, and fits my 6-qt DUO 60 7-in-1 Instant Pot like a dream. Or a glove. Or just like a perfectly-fitting lid! I am notorious for overstuffing my crockpots and I can't tell you how excited I was to see that the lid is also CONVEX, which I don't think any other reviewers mentioned. The convex curve allows for some extra space and breathing room for your food, which is amazing!! It is so much better to use when the Instant Pot is in slowcooker mode than the heavy OG lid and there's no need to stink up a gasket with Pulled Pork or Garlic Beef Stroganoff. Speaking of Pulled Pork, that is one of the items I made with this new lid in place and it turned out wayyy better than any previous version I made in the IP with the exact same recipe. I credit the lid and its mystical moisture control!! Another great aspect is that you can just pop it on any time you have leftovers in the IP and chuck the whole bowl in the fridge. So easy! No need to fumble with saran wrap or tackle Tupperware. The lid cleans easily. I have only washed it by hand. It is truly a beautiful specimen. I totally recommend this purchase. I know there are other lids out there that "fit," but I'd advise you to splurge on this one. It's just so perfect. I hope you like it as much as I do! I did not get paid a red nickel for this review. This is great. I can see the food as I 'Slow Cook' or 'Sous Vide'. Good price. Works well. Fits in the dishwasher.

Nice lid & fits 6 qt instant pot pro.

Fits the Instant Pot as advertised and opens up new functionality with that pot- e.g., slow cook simmering and sweating of vegetables prior to adding other ingredients to finish a recipe, etc. As I see it, the locking pressure cooking lid works well if your cooking experience is limited or if you're in a hurry, you hit a button, close the lid and assume it's doing the right thing. When you want to cook more conventionally though, as if you were cooking on a stovetop but with very precise and consistent heat control- sauteing and browning ingredients or sweating vegetables prior to adding liquids or meat and proceeding with the pressure cooking part of a recipe, or if you want to slow cook something without the intense heat and pressure blast of the pressure cooking functionality, this lid opens up a lot of that functionality. I use this to make marinara and bolognese among a lot of other things. To be able to very consistently keep the sauces at a barely perceptible simmer all day long as needed, allows the tomatoes and/ or meat to slowly break down to develop a good consistency but keeps the tomatoes from getting bitter, as happens if you cook too quickly or on too high a heat, and you can remove the lid to stir and check consistency and flavor easily, something you can't do with a pressure cooker. The stainless liner in the Instant Pot is a big part of that as well. I've spent my life cooking on gas as a professional Chef, I really appreciate the consistent heat that I can get using this device when I cook at home and again, this lid opens up a whole new world of functionality beyond merely cooking under pressure. The "simmer" and "saute" buttons, with the 3 intensity levels for each are very, very usable controls. Simmer on the lowest setting will bubble a sauce or "bone broth" almost imperceptibly with the lid on, and saute on the highest setting will rapidly and vigorously boil a sauce (or wine, etc) to quickly reduce, and you have 4 levels between those two to use as well. Lid on, lid off, lid ajar adds even more flexibility. You can do all of that with a conventional pot on a stove, but not with this kind of predictability and temperature control.

This tempered glass lid is a perfect addition to my Instant Pot. It’s great for slow cooking, sautéing, and serving, allowing me to keep an eye on the food while it cooks. The fit is perfect, and it’s sturdy and easy to clean. No complaints—just another excellent accessory for an already fantastic appliance!

Must have if you have extra internal pot or Use sauté function. It is useful to cover the pot after cooking after removal when you need to cook second dish using another internal pot.

The lid works very well for slow cooking with the instant pot, but it also fits my normal pots.
