If you are doing a lot of framing this is a must. Installed a lot of 2x4 framing to rebuild old sheds and then installed OSB and while sometimes it did jam if you use the tool and loosen the head they clear right out. Don't get in a hurry wait until the tool spins up and hold it straight and firmly. Batteries last a long time. It is heavy but it needs to be. I could not have done the work using a hammer, holding up the OSB and nailing at the same time. Great tool, it was my first battery nailing hammer and so much better than hauling around a compressor and pulling hoses.

I bought this nail gun so that my young daughters could help me with projects. Before i bought this nail gun my two older daughters could help out and drive nails with hammers but the younger two got tired easily when using the hammers. But they LOVE using this nail gun! RECOMMEND YOU PURCHASING THIS NAIL GUN!

I started using the DEWALT 20V MAX* Framing Nailer, and it has quickly become an essential tool in my toolkit! This nailer is incredibly powerful and efficient, making it perfect for framing, decking, and various heavy-duty applications. The 21-degree plastic collated design is fantastic; it allows for quick loading and minimizes the hassle of reloading frequently. The battery life is impressive, providing ample power to tackle multiple projects without needing a recharge. I appreciate the cordless design, which gives me the freedom to move around the job site without being tethered to an air compressor. The precision and speed of this nailer are top-notch. The depth adjustment feature allows for easy customization based on the wood type, ensuring nails are driven flush every time. The safety features, including the trigger lock and anti-dry fire mechanism, give me peace of mind when using the tool.

I had to go Dewalt as all my battery packs are Dewalt. For starters: This gun has frequent jamming issues. But the real issues started as fall is turning to winter. I’m nearing the end of a cabin build and am having issues with the motor not “spooling up” to full RPM and thus doesn’t drive the nail. I switched batteries and still not working properly. I’m hoping it’s the cold wet weather and that after a night of drying out. Update: this tool doesn't like to operate in cool to cold weather. After every use, I have to through it in the cab of my truck to keep it warm, or it will not work. If I had the option I would go with Milwaukee.
