Great product. Amazing customer service.
I live in Miami, where humidity is basically a year-round issue, so I decided to get the Kesnos 80-pint dehumidifier for my upstairs. From the day I installed it, the difference was immediate. The temperature in the house felt noticeably more comfortable, the air was lighter, and the overall humidity level dropped in a way you can actually feel. The water compartment is simple to remove and empty, and the unit itself runs quietly. Aside from the airflow sound, it’s more like a steady white noise that actually makes the upstairs feel calm. For the amount of moisture it pulls from the air, the performance is absolutely worth the money. I did have one issue recently where the unit stopped collecting water. I emailed Kesnos, and their customer service was exceptional. They replied the very next business day, asked for a bit more information, and immediately helped me arrange a replacement. Fast, clear communication and zero hassle. It’s rare to find a company that stands behind their product this well. Overall, the Kesnos 80-pint dehumidifier has been one of the best home comfort purchases I’ve made. Excellent performance, easy maintenance, and outstanding customer service. If you live in a high-humidity area, it makes a real difference.

A product and customer service rated at 5 stars
I ordered the Kesnos 80 Pints Energy Star Dehumidifier from Amazon to dehumidify my entire home which is about 1500 square feet with 8 foot ceiling height. Living in Florida removing the humidity in the home is a 12 month ordeal. The product works extremely well and I am totally satisfied. The main reason for the purchase is to reduce the humidity levels during the months that the air conditioning is not needed to cool the home. After waiting the required 24 hours after setup - I ran the unit on the low fan setting in the center bedroom of the house with the door closed - it brought the humidity down from 62% to 45% in roughly 2 hours. This reading was confirmed by a hygrometer placed in the bedroom. Afterwards I opened the door and the process of reducing the humidity level in the entire home began and after 12 hours operations - I have emptied the bucket twice. I did have an issue with the first one sent to us directly from Amazon – so I contacted Kesnos customer service department. After a few attempts at trouble shooting – it was determined that the unit was damaged and could not be fixed. They sent out a replacement immediately. The level of professionalism of the Kesnos customer service department is of the highest quality and I am confident based on their great service and the early operation of the unit – I choose the correct unit for my home. I give both the customer service department and the product – a 5 stars rating. This unit is well made, easy to operate and quiet. The unit is working great and is reducing the humidity in the entire home. I love this thing! I highly recommend for anyone looking for the best of a whole house dehumidifier.

Good Dehumidifier and Excellent Customer Service
We bought the Kesnos 4500 Sq. Ft Dehumidifier in November of 2024 and found the unit to be very effective in controlling the humidity in our basement. It is quiet and works fast in dropping the humidity during the spring and summer months. One drawback on the 4500sq ft unit is the size of the water tank; it's very small but this wasn't important to us as we use the self draining feature so we never have to empty the tank. We liked the overall quality so much, we have purchased 2 other Kesnos brand units to use in other areas of our house. This particular unit ran daily from late March through mid-October each season without fail until a few weeks ago when it stopped drawing moisture out of the air. Kesnos customer service has been excellent in processing the warranty replacement since this unit was less than 2 years old and still within their 2 year warranty. Overall we are very happy with the products and especially the customer service - it's rare to find good service and/or a company that honors their product warranty - Kesnos does both.

It works. After a year of use, you need to know the following
I got this due to breathing issues demanding a low humidity environment & living in a high humidity area. My humidity level was 67% on startup so I put it on Dehumidifying, High setting, set it to 35% humidity stop point, and let it run 24 hours/ day. Per day it removes about 2 quarts of water and dropped the humidity to 47% humidity. It dropped to that % in the first 12 hours but could not do more so after 2 weeks, I realized that the 4500 unit I purchased needed a second unit (one to do each floor of the house) so when I saw it on sale 1.5 months later I purchased my second unit. YOU NEED 1 PER HOUSE FLOOR: Apparently, you should have 1 unit per floor of your house and in an area, so it can dehumidify the whole area by placing it somewhere central, no matter what size unit you buy. I have been told this by many sellers at different places. With a unit on both floors of my home, after a week of use, I got it to my ideal humidity range. They both run all the time and pull huge amounts of water out of them daily. I find myself emptying the large tank, which is easy to do (takes about 30 seconds to grab, dump water, and put it back in), at least 2x a day! UNIT SIZE & POWER: The size of the unit you get does matter. The bigger the unit tank and the force of the airflow capacity the better. This means more water pulled from the room, and fewer trips to empty the water tank. The power of the unit is very good versus others I have tried. BUILT-IN PROTECTION: Auto stop feature for tank overflow is a must! You can't babysit a water tank to ensure it does not overflow but many brands don't have this. This one does. It shuts off automatically when it needs emptying to prevent water spillage. CHILD PROOF: It has a button that can lock the other buttons to discourage little kids from changing the settings buttons. Great for people with children. FILTER: Several complained here about the unit not turning on despite the tank being empty, but I have to wonder how many did not clean the filters. There is a built-in filter you snap off the back, brush the pet hair, dust, dirt, and debris it filters out of the air, and you place it back in place. If the filter is full and clogs the airflow then the unit will not turn on. You should do this weekly or as soon as you see it get dirty, whichever comes first. I did not see anything said about this, but it is super fast (takes seconds to do) and it is easy to do. The fact it is a reusable filter is a plus because it saves money versus having to buy disposable ones. YOU NEED 7 INCHES SPACES ALL AROUND IT: When setting up, keep in mind the unit needs 7 inches of space at least around all sides. You need at least this, and for all dehumidifiers, to ensure good airflow so it can work properly and optimally. It also makes it so you do not have to move the unit when you empty the water tank or clean the reusable air filter towards its back. I have this placed at the top of a very wide and deep stair landing between the first and second floors in the smack middle of the 2800+ sq ft house with lots of airflow on all sides, and another in the master bedroom as I have breathing issues.

Works like a charm!
I live in the PNW where the humidity can get out of hand. After my shoes got moldy this winter, I decided it was time to get a dehumidifier. When this first arrived, my hygrometer showed 77% humidity. I've only had this for a week and was able to get it down to 45%. AMAZING!! The auto shut-off feature is great and will turn off once the desired humidity level is reached or the water bin is full. The water bin fills up quickly in my space since the bin is on the smaller side, but it's easy to empty and put back in. It's not loud at all, which I appreciate. The only thing I find distracting about the sound is when water releases into the bin, as it sounds like someone is pouring a cup of water onto the floor (this was alarming the first few times I heard it). Lastly, the fact it's on wheels is just a nice bonus, as it makes it extra easy to move around. Great design y'all!

1000% recommend
Let me begin by saying I’m not being compensated or anything for this review. I live in Florida in an apartment with very poor air circulation and windows that don’t fully seal out the outside humidity so it’s very musty in here. Usually over 55% humidity and now in the summer over 65%. In my shower, I used to spend hours cleaning all the mold, only for it to come right back in 2 days - making me sneeze like crazy while taking a shower with my eyes burning. SO FRUSTRATING. My hair would even get frizzy INSIDE THE HOUSE. That’s when I decided it was time to invest in a dehumidifier and I’ve had it for around 9 months now. I just bought two other small dehumidifiers and they are so weak compared to this. Before today, I thought this one was just collecting so much water because it is so humid in here. Well, yes, it is, but it is mostly that this dehumidifier is also just very very effective. I set the timer for 2 hours after we shower, (super tiny room with just shower and toilet; ~25 sq ft) and it dries up my bathroom completely and the bucket will be 3/4ths full. I also run it in the living room/kitchen area as often as my lazy butt is willing to haul it there from the bathroom, and when I do, I have to empty out the tank 3x a day or more - and that’s only waking hours (not including night). Usually it’s already full again when nighttime comes so it’s pretty much always off at night. Whenever it’s been off all day, it is SUCH a noticeable difference in the air. The air feels thicker and carpet stickier. I didn’t appreciate how effective this dehumidifier is until I got the smaller ones today..wow! I read reviews before buying slightly smaller ones of another brand on Amazon, and people were impressed by having ~2 table spoons of water collected in 24 hours, I found it laughable compared to mine. But I considered that maybe their place just isn’t as humid as mine, so I bought them anyway. But nope, they turned out to just be super weak!! I can’t even remember the last time I had to get on my knees inhaling chemicals trying to eradicate the nasty mold in the shower. That’s the ultimate evidence that this is working (plus the buckets and buckets of water poured out.) The dryer tends to ruin my delicate (&cheap) clothes, so I’ve always liked to hang dry it. I didn’t even know you could use this for that until I received this and read it in the manual. I put my little rack inside the shower and put the dehumidifier in there with them and they’re bone dry in under 2 hours - and that’s for a full load of laundry. This is honestly such a great investment. And this one is so reasonably priced compared to the others on Amazon of the same capacity. I’m pretty proud of myself for choosing this one. As for noise level, the low modes are pretty quiet. But my belief is that if it ain’t fanning, it ain’t working! So I only use it on high. I have cats and it also is pretty dusty in here from such poor air circulation, so dust has gotten into the spinning fan inside and I think that’s made it get a little louder lately. It’s not annoying, just blends into the background. But just during the day it’s nbd. It’s just inevitable for a large fan inside. The machine itself doesn’t make any noise, but you hear some air blowing/the fan spinning. Also, the air it blows out does make the room a bit warmer in small spaces, but again, I think that’s an inevitable but fair trade-off for a decent capacity dehumidifier. I hope somebody finds this helpful!

Works well!
We had purchased a different dehumidifier that clearly was not doing much because once these were purchased, we noticed a huge difference in the humidity of our basement. This humidifier is super easy to set up and use. Once they are plugged in and ready to go, they are quiet and do a good job of removing the moisture from the air. I am not sure if the water capacity is just not a lot of we have a lot of moisture but I do have to empty them out morning and night. So far there have been no leaks either. A good quality dehumidifier for the price!

had to return
updated 10/2024: someone from Kesnos finally got in touch with me to address my concerns. I had already returned the unit months ago, but they were very apologetic and made me feel like they stood by their product and warranty. if they could only manufacture a sturdier hose for it, I would consider getting it in the future. ****************************************************** It's not a bad unit, but I had to return it for 2 reasons. 1st off, I believe that I received a used or returned dehumidifier. It was well packaged, but it had scuff marks and was dirty in multiple places that made me question if it was new. Secondly, the continuous hose option failed in less than 5 hours of use. I attached it to a 5 gallon bucket that I placed below the unit, and it was working great for a little while. But I suppose I shouldn't have expected much since the plastic hose is so flimsy. I used the unit for a few days without the hose, and it worked fine - it dried out my basement fairly well, but having to empty the bucket every 3 to 5 hours was not going to work for my needs. I contacted their customer service with my issues and photos as requested, but they just requested that I send more photos and videos. I had family visiting at the time, and I didn't want to keep going back and forth to convince them that my concerns were legitimate, so I ended up just returning the unit back to amazon. No fuss, no questions asked and free return shipping. As dehumidifiers go, it's average. It's not loud and it functions okay. But if you need the continuous hose option like me, search for a unit that has a stronger hose. I reckon the sensor must have stopped working and it just wasn't able to sense that the hose was attached - which doesn't surprise me since you can easily just pull the hose on and off. Normally, the hose should be a tight fit to the unit. For the price, I expected more.
