Standard Motor Products CVS38 Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid

Used to replace my existing bad one. Engine code on a Saturn viewed XE 2008 model was P0449. In case you’re wondering where the hell it is, it’s on the underside of the car, just behind the driver side door on the driver side, small black box. Of course it’s tucked on top of it, so you’ll need to drop a couple of nuts for the box to move down enough to reach it. Some one or something had cut/ripped the wiring for the original, so I needed a Dorman 645-631 pigtail to repair that. Just FYI.

Fits in fine, but doesn't have the locking tab, as the oem,, but installed, no issues so far, harness came in handy,,,Note: I changed the purge valve in the engine bay and this one,, behind the tank...so far so good ,no cel, and no ticking noise.. 09 Pontiac g5, 2.2

This is the part I needed to turn off my check engine light problem,and my car work great now.

Was getting about 22 mpg before I replaced it, now have more power and getting 31 mpg, well worth replacing if this is showing up on your scanner. Good price.

Already put on the vehicle or else I would've taken a pic. It fit right in and was the easiest part of the install

Installed by the muffler guy when I purchased a new muffler. Seems to be working just fine. Nice to know the folks who work on your stuff. Was a lot easier for him since he had the auto up in the air. Quick "out with the old - in with the new" .... maybe 2 minutes or less. Good purchase.

NOTE: Does take some maneuvering to get it to fit as it is longer than stock, no major issues and appears to be working as expected.
