This book is great for those wanting to know what its like to work behind the scenes of a period TV show, very in-depth look at design sketches, fitting photos and fabric swatch boards. All the outfits are just a delight to look at and the colours and construction of the outfits are just wonderful to admire. Being a dressmaker myself I can't wait to attempt to recreate one of these outfits one day. Wish designers would do more costume books like this for period dramas. I bought this for myself as a self Christmas gift. The book arrived in perfect condition, and it is wonderful. I love they feature not only the main character Midge, but a lot of the most important characters in the show: from her parents to her manager Susie, including a lot of episodic or very secondary characters, it gives you a complete portrait of how incredible and thoughtful the work of the costume designer is. Sketches, colour palettes, inspiration, behind the scenes... this book has everything, and it is a great addition to your shelves if you are a fan of the show

Absolutely beautiful book, full of all the wonderful fashions from the series. It doesn’t stint on the pictures and is a delight for anyone who loved the look of the show and anyone interested in costume, fashion or just something beautiful to look at. Couldn’t recommend more.
