Recently had a foot injury (sesamoids related). During healing, it seemed to inflame a bunion problem on that foot. Both feet have a bend to the big toe, but only this foot, after the injury, does it now come with pain. Not much left to do besides manage it and keep it for getting worse, so I brought a bunch of toe separators. I bought a set of each: ProFoot Vita-Gel Toe Spacer, Toe Separators Hammer Toe Straightener (these), and Mind Bodhi Toe Separators. For reasons of comparing, but also since I think I'll probably wear one more often than not now so to have a variety of fits and comforts. So here are my thoughts on each: ProFoot Vita-Gel Toe Spacer -- Really just two gel blocks to put between any set of toes. Very minimalist, great for wearing with shoes, and in particular with shoes that run tighter. Downside might be that they can slip out unless you're in a tight shoe or wearing socks. Another pro is its the easiest to quickly clean after using. I tend to prefer this when doing a physical activity like running. Toe Separators Hammer Toe Straightener (these) -- Kind of middle ground between the previous and next type. These have the ring shape that fits around one toe. On the pro side, it keeps it in place way better, even in bare feet. On the con side, a bit bulkier, and despite bulkiness, seems to have the least actual separation (which could be a good thing too). I probably use this one most though because it does run a good middle ground. Mind Bodhi Toe Separators -- Sets that goes between all your toes. Most separation and also works all of your foot. Even after using it for a long time now, it still gets a bit sore when you wear it too long, and because of it's design, not really for use with shoes. Though you can fit it in a roomier/casual shoe. I keep this for relaxing around the house or end of the day stretching. TL;DR: I like them all. These one in particular strike a middle ground that doesn't excel in any particular usage, but because it is most versatile, I probably wear most often.
