Review: Makes your Acurite work as it did when purchased. - I love my AccuRite weather station and needed a remote. Works like a dream and now I can receive accurate weather information from inside my home once again. Very pleased with this item. Just needed to be set to proper A or B setting and it was up and functioning.
Review: Works well and is what I was looking for. - This connected to my AcuRite weather station easily, and now tells me how many recent lightening strikes I've had and how far away the last was. NOTE: do not use this anywhere near a microwave oven, it can sense the start and stop of the oven as lightening strikes. And, I had one of these sensors before that I hung from a tree limb and it stopped working after a couple of months. So this one, I bought one of the AcuRite solar shields, so we will see if this one lasts longer. Note about the solar shield: it is priced WAY too high, more than the cost of this sensor, BUT it occasionally goes on sale for $10 to $15 less.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Addition to an Established System
*by F***8 on November 21, 2019*

Prior to this purchase I have had many AcuRite Products. Currently I have a Pro+ 5-in-1 weather station. The data is displayed on dual dual displays in my home. The unit is also connected to an AcuRite Access that I connect with an app or on the web and upload the data to WeatherUnderground. Needless to say, I am a huge fan of these products. With my current system I wanted a way to detect lightening. Unfortunately the system I have does not allow the add-on for lightening detection. However, when I learned that I could pair this unit with my Access and view the data in my app or on line, I was sold. This has been a great addition to my system and I am extremely happy with my purchase. I was also delighted to find the detector also measured temperature, humidity and will calculate the dew point. Furthermore, the Access will send email and/or text message alerts from the detector. While I am extremely satisfied with my purchase, I will note the detector is capable of false detection of lightening. While it is not enough to distrust the system, anyone adding this detector should be aware that it is capable of showing lightening on a crystal clear night. However, I will end by saying, when a storm passes through the detector is more than accurate, it's AcuRite!
