Applause, applause....!
A friend of ours who wanted to feed something to her young, recently acquired Westie to give her a change/choice from the usual fare, knew we once had the same breed and during a conversation one day, enquired what we had fed our chap. Without hesitation, we said he'd had a staple diet of chicken - Westies can be prone to poor skin condition if fed certain foods - but white meat was very suitable, certainly healthy, together with fish now and again as a treat. In the early days, we would purchase bags of frozen chicken breast/legs in bulk and cook them. However, one day we happened upon the Applaws, tinned chicken version, which from the speed at which it was devoured, proved to be every bit as good and enjoyable as the original meal of the frozen variety. Whilst it is a quality product, it's not a particularly large size tin, so perhaps a small quantity of mixer biscuits will help to satisfy. Our little man, Bracken, is sadly no longer with us but for all his fifteen years he never turned his nose up at what was put down for him and always seemed to pad along a little quicker when this delight was the 'smell of the day' !

Suitable for diabetic dogs
I bought these as an addition to my recently diabetic dog’s diet - they’re suitably low in fat and contain ingredients that won’t cause glucose spikes. My little guy struggled with store bought diabetic friendly foods so I opt to home cook for him, and due to the intense flavour of these pouches they tempt even my very picky girls to finish their entire meal. They aren’t diabetic and have never liked vegetables in their food until these pouches. The pouch makes them convenient, I split one between 2 of the diabetic’s meals or one between my girls - I would say they are on the pricier side at £14.04 for 12 pouches, but as options are limited for diabetics I’m just glad to have found something he enjoys!

My dog no longer has eating issues
My dog had struggled with a sensitive stomach since we rescued him. It’s taken over a year to find something that doesn’t upset his digestive system. This goes on top of his kibble from another brand. It’s been 6 weeks and so far so good!

Great for dogs with dodgy tums
My Skye loves these, and they're really low in fat so it's perfect for her pancreatitis.

A winner!
Our dog is a fussy eater, so a little dry kibble mixed with this topper has worked wonders!

Great Buy...
One Yorkshire Terrier adopted from Dogs Trust and where his eating habits must have been abysmal before being rescued! Eventually he will eat kibble but only if sprinkled with meat or fish on top. Applaws Chicken Breast is ideal in that the meat is 'pulled' and not in chunks, plus it is moist through the Chicken juice broth. Although a little expensive, the tinned is packed solid with chicken, which then tends to go a long way.
